Late last month, an exciting and creative morning took place as residents and friends from Small Steps Daycare came together for a morning filled with color and camaraderie. The activity of the day was ice tie-dyeing, a unique and vibrant way of transforming plain shirts into colorful masterpieces.

Today marked the culmination of that creative endeavor, as residents and staff gathered to showcase their dazzling tie-dye shirts. Our craft for the month was not just about creating beautiful shirts; it was about fostering connections and sharing joy. Residents and kids alike enjoyed mingling and marveling at the array of colors, each shirt as unique as its creator. The activity helps strengthen bonds within the community and reminded everyone of the beauty of coming together to create something wonderful.


For those curious about the process, ice tie-dyeing involves placing ice over a fabric and sprinkling powdered dye on top. As the ice melts, the dye spreads in unpredictable, yet beautiful patterns, resulting in a vibrant and one-of-a-kind design. It's a fun and accessible way for people of all ages to explore their artistic side.
