The Arc of York & Adams Counties is creating a new Self Advocacy Group, and we’re looking for individuals who want to speak up, share their experiences, connect with others, and help shape the group.

Last day, best day!

These students recently wrapped up their work experience at York Fresh Food Farms, and we couldn’t be prouder of everything they accomplished. They worked hard, learned new skills, and made a meaningful contribution throughout the summer.

Not all heroes wear capes—some donate art supplies!

This morning, Amon from MBIT Group heard that our art supplies at Camp Pennwood were running low. Without hesitation, he went out, purchased two boxes filled with brand-new supplies, and delivered them to our Hill Street office.

The supplies have already made their way to Camp and will be used during each unit’s daily art time throughout the rest of the season.

Thank you, Amon, for this incredibly thoughtful gift and for acting so quickly to support our campers. They are going to have so much fun creating with these new supplies, and we truly appreciate your generosity!

We are excited to share that The Arc of York & Adams Counties will once again participate in the Adams County Community Foundation’s Giving Spree in 2026!

The Giving Spree is an incredibly important day for our organization. The generosity of our Adams County community helps us continue providing programs, services, advocacy, and opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, November 5, and join us for this meaningful day of giving. Every donation, no matter the size, helps us build a more inclusive community where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

Yesterday, Camp Pennwood was filled with music, movement, and plenty of smiles thanks to a visit from Zumba Jeff and his friends!

Zumba Jeff’s visit is always one of the most eagerly anticipated days of camp. Jeff and his team bring incredible enthusiasm, infectious energy, and high-energy fun that gets everyone involved. Before long, all of our campers were up, dancing, and having a great time!

Jeff has been visiting Camp Pennwood for many years, and we are so grateful for the joy he and his team bring to our campers each summer. Thank you, Zumba Jeff and friends, for continuing to make this day so special year after year!
