Last weekend, Michelle had the pleasure of attending Flying Feet’s 5K in support of the mission of Olivia’s House. This community never ceases to amaze us! Not only did the participants crush their race times, but together, they raised nearly $3,000 to support the children and families we serve. Thank you to everyone who showed up, and showed out, and helped make this event such a success. We are so grateful for Dave and his Flying Feet community! 🏃

Last week, we had a beautiful reminder that love can live on through the kindness we leave behind. A heartfelt thank you to the Lake Marburg Chapter NWTF for their incredibly thoughtful donation of hand-crocheted blankets to be gifted to our kiddos during coping skills night of Hearts Can Heal. ❤️ Lovingly hand-made posthumously by a club member whose legacy will now continue to bring comfort and warmth to children who are learning how to heal. 🧶 🦃

We always talk at Olivia’s House about the importance of rituals, but here’s a good question that we don’t often talk about: When does the ritual end?

Maybe in the first weeks and months after your loss, it can feel comforting to visit the cemetery every day. But as time goes on, that need may not be a present for you, and THAT IS OKAY!! You never need to feel pressured to keep up a tradition that is no longer serving you. Plus, Olivia’s House is always here to help you find new ways to commemorate your special person!
