Everyday, we get to see up-close the deep gratefulness our patients express for the care your prayers and support make possible. Sometimes, it’s a wide smile. Other times, it’s seen in tears of relief. Humble “thank-yous” are regular occurrences here at the clinic.

On Friday, one of our patients brought us his famous homemade jambalaya. He says it’s the best around. We certainly agree!

Two visits, great conversations, and one shared commitment to our community. It was a WellSpan kind of week at Katallasso!

On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Dr. Kevin Lewis, EVP and Chief Physician Executive at WellSpan Health. Then on Friday, we enjoyed a visit from DNP Patty Donley, SVP and Chief Nursing Executive.

We love opportunities like these because starts with relationships. WellSpan Health has been a valued partner of Katallasso, and during both visits, we toured the clinic, shared stories about the people we have the privilege of serving and spent time talking about the needs we see every day, and the possibilities ahead.

At the heart of those conversations was a shared desire to make a lasting difference. We want to see people in our not only receive the care they need but also helping our neighbors live healthier lives and changing what is possible for people who too often face barriers to care. We’re excited about what we can accomplish together.

Thank you, Dr. Lewis and DNP Donley, for your heart, energy, and investment in our mission. We are grateful for partners like WellSpan Health who see the possibilities in our community and want to pursue them alongside us. 🙏

Our Board Member and HACC Clinical Professor Audra Johns introduced LPN students to community during their rotation at Katallasso today.

Audra explained the importance of relationship-building in community nursing. 👇

“People come to us because they trust us. Relationship-building is very important, because when trust is built, people are more likely to follow their plan of care.”

We’re grateful for the opportunity to immerse the of workers in community health.

Each day, our nurses update our Gathering Board to welcome our guests and volunteers.

🍨This week, our nurses used their “artistic talents” to symbolize our core values as ice cream scoops - with love as the cherry on top! 😁

One of our core values is to reset daily. ☀️Each morning, we reset our minds to give patients the best care that they deserve.

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Maria arrived at Katallasso carrying a quiet fear she could barely name. For months, she had struggled with swallowing and was told it was reflux, but the medication never helped. She felt small, unseen, and uncertain of what would come next. At a friend’s urging, she finally walked through Katallasso’s doors.

Together, we served 50 NEW patients in the month of June.

God is sending us neighbors in need of medical attention and love. 🤝 Because of your faithful support, we’re able to open our doors to all of them and show them that someone loves, values and cares for them.

🎉 Thanks to your support, we treated 400 patients in June alone.

👉 Out of those 400 patients, 50 were new!

It is a privilege to partner together to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of our neighbors without health insurance.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, when neighbors lose their health insurance, they can find a clinic full of volunteers who care, value and love them, because God first loved us.
