green-tree-yoga of pa, offers tailor-made yoga classes and workshops suitable for the needs of all students. This includes public and private groups, private classes, and corporate yoga offerings. All classes and workshops are led by Yoga Alliance Registered Teacher Brenda C. Brenda was first introduced to yoga more than fifteen years ago, and became serious about her practice while searching for

relief from chronic back pain. The yogic tools and methodology she learned literally changed her life. Brenda earned her 500 hour designation with the Himalayan Institute, and is an E-200 hour-level Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. In the fall of 2021, she started graduate work in the MA Yogic Studies program through Naropa University. She is eager to share her knowledge with students and uses her background as a Professor of Theatre to effectively, creatively, and safely build a solid yoga foundation appropriate for every student. With an abundance of positive energy and welcoming presence, Brenda’s objective is to empower practitioners with tools that will enrich their lives on a daily basis both on and off the mat. Through exploration and connection of mind, body, and breath, practitioners will be able to bring yogic balance to all aspects of their lives----ultimately enhancing health and well being in every respect. Her dedicated commitment to educating yoga students about the many benefits of yoga provided the motivation for creating the Yoga Discovery Podcast. When not on the mat, in the classroom, or in the theatre, Brenda travels the world searching for adventures that will expand her understanding of our global community. In the yogic world, she is passionate about bringing new practitioners to the mat while deepening the understanding of more seasoned practitioners. Education:
Master of Fine Arts, Theatre
Bachelor of Fine Arts, Acting

Yoga, at its core, is not an escape from reality. It is a practice of “vidyā”—clear perception. It invites us to see what is actually happening: in our bodies, in our nervous system, in our relationships, and in the world around us. It asks us to notice where harm exists, how it is internalized, and how disconnection alters our perception.
Through sustained practice, we strengthen our ability to stay present with what is difficult without collapsing or hardening. We learn to recognize our own stress responses and expand our ability to make informed decisions. We build internal and collective resources so we can respond rather than react. When this practice is brought to individuals who have experienced trauma, healing happens. We begin to see ourselves clearly again and chain reactions happen from that place.
