💳 A Quick Payment Update for Our Families!
We wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up about a change taking effect August 1st regarding debit and credit card payments.
Going forward:
💵 Cash — no fee
📝 Checks — no fee
💳 Debit cards — no fee
💳 Credit cards — 3% surcharge
A new law prohibits businesses from adding a surcharge to debit card payments, so we will NOT charge any additional fee when you use your debit card.
We will, however, continue to assess a 3% surcharge on credit card payments only. As a small, locally owned pediatric practice, the processing fees charged by credit card companies really add up and have become a significant expense for our practice.
We completely understand that using a credit card is convenient, and we want to continue offering that option to our families. The small surcharge helps us offset a portion of the fees we are charged by credit card companies so that we can continue to keep these costs from impacting our practice in other ways.
