New for this summer!

We’re excited to introduce our 9-hour/week play-based summer groups! These small groups are designed to build social connection, regulation, and confidence through engaging, child-led activities. We focus on interacting around shared interests, with group topics that adapt to the kids enrolled, while supporting communication, problem-solving, and learning to voice needs.

Our goal is to create a fun, structured environment where kids can build meaningful friendships and feel successful being themselves. Reach out to learn more or secure your spot!

Too much screen time is quietly changing childhood.

Children are sleeping less, struggling more emotionally, losing interest in offline play and finding it harder to focus, communicate and cope with boredom.

Many families now spend more time looking at screens than looking at each other.

And the hardest part?
A lot of this has become completely normal.

Children are getting phones younger. Endless scrolling starts earlier. Gaming and YouTube battles are exhausting parents. Family meals are interrupted by notifications. Bedtimes are delayed by screens.

This is not about blaming parents or banning technology. Screens are part of modern life. But children still need conversation, movement, sleep, outdoor play, attention and real connection to develop in a healthy way.

Sometimes the biggest difference comes from the smallest changes - putting phones away during meals, creating screen-free routines, protecting sleep and making more time for real-world connection.

Practice deep breathing and try the 3-3-3 Rule:

1. Look around and name 3 three things to see.
2. Listen and name 3 things you hear.
3. Tune in and move 3 parts of your body.

Drink some water and keep breathing, this too shall pass. 💚

“Some days, doing ‘the best we can’ may still fall short of what we would like to be able to do, but life isn’t perfect—on any front—and doing what we can with what we have is the most we should expect of ourselves or anyone else.” —Mr. Rogers

Arts, Culture, and Benevolence presents "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" film & discussion Saturday May 16 8pm, movie starts once it gets dark

We'll be at MESS House 426 South Adams and have pizza made out of an Earth oven!!

In light of recent events, join us for a crucial film screening to understand the deep roots of the current U.S./Venezuela conflict. As the situation escalates, it is more important than ever to examine the "why", how history, foreign intervention, and economic warfare have led to this moment. The attempted U.S. regime change operation threatens catastrophic violence for the Venezuelan people and regional stability. Our country plays a major role. It's time to learn, discuss, and look beyond the headlines.
