One of the most common questions we hear is:
“My child already gets speech at school. Why would they also need private speech therapy?” 🤔

The answer is that school-based and private speech therapy have different goals ⬇️

School services are designed to support a student’s ability to access their education and make progress toward their IEP goals.

Private speech therapy 💬 can focus on the communication skills that matter most to your family, whether that’s carrying on conversations, building confidence, improving speech clarity, strengthening social communication or supporting feeding and swallowing needs.

For many children, these services work beautifully together!!!

Such a great morning connecting with local families at Beale Air Force Base's Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) Resource Fair!!!

Our team had the opportunity to share more about the services available through Woods Family Speech Therapy, meeting fellow professionals and talk with so many wonderful families.

One thing we heard again and again surprised us: many of our local military families didn’t realize there was a speech therapy clinic in the area that accepts TRICARE!

So, consider this your friendly reminder: Woods Family Speech Therapy accepts TRICARE 🫶

If your family has been searching for speech and language services, we would love to connect with you!!!

And perhaps the sweetest part of the day? Running into families who previously received services with us and hearing how well their kiddos are doing. 🥹 Those are the moments that mean everything to our team.
