Today is National Stop the Bleed Day. And this matters more in communities like ours. 🩸

In parts of Yuba, Sutter, Butte, and Placer County, you could be 10, 15, even 20+ minutes from emergency care. In a severe bleed, that's the difference between life and death.

Here are the 3 steps:
1️⃣ CALL 911 immediately.
2️⃣ APPLY direct pressure - pack the wound hard and don't let go.
3️⃣ USE A TOURNIQUET if trained - above the wound, tighten until bleeding stops.

Our graduates used these exact skills to stop a life-threatening bleed. This is not a theory. This is what trained people do. We offer Bleeding Control courses. It's a few hours. It could be the most important training you do this year.
