West Yukon Animal Hospital is hiring for a long term-full time EXPERIENCED veterinary assistant or veterinarian technician, kennel technician and receptionist. West Yukon Animal Hospital is a very fast paced clinic that offers small animal and equine medicine and surgeries.
Job duties include but are not limited to excellent care and attention to boarding, hospitalized and surgery pets. Assisting Doctors with drop offs and appointments, running lab samples, filling medications, monitoring surgeries, client communication and education. Duties also include cleaning the hospital and barn, disinfecting and sterilizing.
Applicants must be hardworking, have excellent attention to detail, honest, take pride in their work and love working closely with animals and people. Applicant must be self-motivated, work well in high stress situations and be flexible.
Working at the Front desk or in the barn, answering phones, checking inventory and posting or taking payments are some other responsibilities that maybe required. Weekends and holiday kennel duties are required on a rotating schedule with other employees, most shifts are 4-10 hour days with one off and two Saturdays a month 8-12.
Pay and benefits are based on experience.
