Today was such a special day as we opened our doors to celebrate and say farewell to Dr. Ahmed. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to all of the patients who came out to share kind words, memories, and well wishes. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and to celebrate the incredible relationships that have been built over the years.

And most importantly, thank you, Dr. Ahmed, for 30 years of amazing, compassionate patient care. Your dedication, kindness, and commitment to your patients have made a lasting impact on so many lives. We are so grateful for everything you have given to this community and feel honored to celebrate your incredible career! 💜

Dr. Ahmed has exactly 2 weeks remaining before he begins his well-deserved retirement! 🎉

If you are a patient of Dr. Ahmed and would like the opportunity to stop by and say farewell, we will be opening our doors today from 11:30 AM–1:30 PM for his patients to come by and wish him well.

Dr. Francisco Lozano Arvizu recently completed his Nephrology training at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale and is ready to bring his knowledge and experience to the members of our community. In case you missed it! You may have recognized our Nurse Practitioner, Nurudeen Mahama, on the YRMC FB page. Nurudeen is a part of our extended family at our Dialysis Center.

Nurudeen, the support and care you provide are more powerful than medicine because you show compassion and kindness.

Nurse practitioner Nurudeen “Deen” Mahama is known for taking time to get to know his patients and his colleagues. As a hospitalist, Deen has a demanding schedule, but he always knows when to pause and help others with his kind words and care. Here is what a colleague had to say about Deen:

“Deen is the epitome of what a nurse practitioner should be. He takes the time to sit and listen to his patients and provides the most wonderful care. He is compassionate, thoughtful, thorough and such a tremendous asset to YRMC. He is not only great with his patients but is extremely supportive to all the staff and works hard to meet the needs of the whole health care team. Deen is exactly the provider that we should all strive to be! When I first started as a hospitalist, Deen was there to guide me and support me. He had such a huge impact on me and my practice.”
