Massage Remedies

Massage Remedies I began this journey 20 years ago, inspired by how life’s stories are held in the body. I offer clinical bodywork with intuitive care and presence.

"There are remedies for pain the mind can’t reach. This is where the body speaks—and my hands listen." With 20 years of experience and a deep connection to the wisdom of human anatomy, I offer bodywork that blends science, intuition, and personalized care. Each session is uniquely tailored using a combination of modalities—myofascial therapy, deep tissue, cupping, gua sha, dry brushing, and somato

-emotional integration through aromatherapy. Whether your body is calling for deep therapeutic relief or gentle relaxation, I listen with my hands and follow what your system needs most. Because every body holds a different story—and deserves a remedy that honors it.

Something NEW is coming to Massage Remedies… ✨

Say hello to Muscle Mondays — your weekly deep dive into the muscles that support your movement, posture, and daily life.

Each week, Kate will use a 3D body model to break down:
▪️ What each muscle does
▪️ Why it matters
▪️ The common patterns of pain, weakness & tension that show up there
▪️ How understanding your body can help you finally pinpoint why something hurts — and what to do about it

We’re starting next Monday with a closer look at the trapezius (upper, middle & lower over the next 3 weeks!).

And don’t forget to keep an eye out for Way-to-Relief Wednesdays, where we’ll share practical ways to find relief for the muscle discussed on Monday. 🙌

If you’ve ever wanted to understand your body better — this is the place to start.
Stay connected. 💛

So this was a little something new I tried in October — a super soft launch of an idea I’ve been carrying for almost 10 years. It’s one of those offerings that lived in my mind and heart for so long, and I finally decided to give it a go… just to see what would unfold. And honestly? It went beautifully. I learned a lot (mostly about how to fine-tune the flow), but it was a success in every way that mattered.
✨ Touch of Love is a massage workshop for couples — a cozy, beginner-friendly space for three couples at a time to learn simple, practical massage techniques while reconnecting with each other on a deeper level. It’s part body awareness, part communication, part intimacy, and part playful date-night energy.
Most couples try dance lessons, painting nights, cooking classes… this is like that, but with a skill you can keep giving to each other long after the workshop ends. In today’s world (and economy), learning how to truly support your partner’s body is not only meaningful, it’s useful.
This workshop is designed to help partners:
• slow down and actually feel each other again
• strengthen trust, presence, and touch-based communication
• understand tension, stress, and where emotion lives in the body
• learn safe and effective entry-level massage skills
• bring more connection, care, and intention into their relationship
It’s fun, lighthearted, intimate, a little educational, and honestly such a beautiful thing to witness couples experience together.
I’m excited to announce that I’ll be opening a few Touch of Love workshops in the new year — with the first round beginning in February. Details and sign-ups will be coming soon, and I cannot wait to grow this offering into something even more special.
If you’ve been wanting a date night that actually feeds your relationship… this might be the one. 💛

“I really enjoyed making this video. It felt good to finally film what I actually do during a prenatal session and share it with people who may never have seen this kind of focused work before.

When I was pregnant with my three children, I remember searching for someone who offered more specific pelvic and round-ligament support. I knew how much relief it could bring, and I would’ve loved to have that kind of care — but I couldn’t find anyone who really specialized in this more detailed fascial work. I tried to do some of it on myself, but of course, that only goes so far when you’re the one pregnant.

So part of why I’m sharing this now is simply to let moms know: this option exists. If you’re experiencing pelvic tension, round-ligament pulling, or just feel like you could benefit from more focused prenatal support, this type of work is available to you here in Yuma. And I would be honored to work with you if it feels like something your body is asking for.

This is the first segment of a three-part series where I walk you through exactly what I’m doing and why it can make such a meaningful difference in pregnancy.”

Steering the learning curve to creating and editing a reel, with the layers and voice overs and all that. It's been real fun actually, because recently I've awakened a new passion- teaching, teaching about massage and about what I do.

Which reminds me of something exciting I have to announce, that is coming real soon! For now I'm excited to share with you the Protocol I do for pregnant mamas typically 30+ weeks to release those pesky rounds ligaments that get the stretch of their life during pregnancy.

Ever heard of "lightning crotch?" Your mom has! Painful discomfort during the last trimester due to these round ligaments being maxed out. Add to that sciatic pain, low back pain and generalized pelvic pain- they all stand to benefit from a round ligament release.

It's a simple 10 min massage that most therapists dont offer in a prenatal massages but all prenatal mamas should be receiving.

ℕ𝕖𝕩𝕥 𝕥𝕚𝕞𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦'𝕣𝕖 𝕠𝕟 𝕥𝕙𝕖 𝕞𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕒𝕘𝕖 𝕥𝕒𝕓𝕝𝕖, 𝕥𝕣𝕪 𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕤:

Take a deep breath and bring your awareness inward. Starting at the top of your head, work your way down, releasing tension as you go. This simple technique can help calm your nervous system and prepare your body for the massage.

When we're stressed, our bodies tense up, causing fascia - the web of connective tissue around our muscles and organs - to tighten. By consciously relaxing, you can shift out of fight-or-flight mode and feel more relaxed. You don’t have to wait for your next massage to do this - use it anytime, anywhere.

Notice the physical signs of stress:
• Shoulders rising
• Fists clenched
• Glutes tightening
