On 9/11, innocent lives were lost, not because they chose the wrong path, but because they were forced to bear the weight of conflicts far beyond their control. They were people just like us: heading to work, carrying personal burdens, yet still showing up to do their part so we could continue to share in the lives, freedoms, and opportunities we hold today.
But the cost of that day did not end there. It reached the first responders who rushed in, fully aware of the risks, the men and women in uniform who answered the call, many of whom never made it back.
The battles did not end for the countless families whose lives were forever changed.
Their courage, their sacrifice, and their love for humanity will always be remembered.
For that, we remain deeply thankful. May their actions continue to echo through history as a reminder of strength unity, and selfless devotion we are capable of.
