Medicine, Emergency Services and After-Hours Urgent Care. With more than 850 dedicated team members, Lane is the largest employer within the city of Zachary. This past Saturday, Lane Family Practice was proud to participate in the Baker Chamber of Commerce's Back-to-School Event, helping students get ready for the new school year with sports physicals and healthcare resources.

With hundreds of community members attending, our team completed dozens of sports physicals while sharing information about Lane services and handing out Lane promotional items. It was also a great opportunity for families to meet Erica Palin, MD, the newest physician to join Lane Family Practice.

Thank you to the Baker Chamber of Commerce for organizing another successful event and to everyone who stopped by to visit with our team. We wish all students a safe, healthy, and successful school year!

Meet the Team: Kelly Fowler, RN – Labor & Delivery 👶💜

For more than 25 years, Kelly Fowler has been part of the Lane family, helping welcome some of life's most unforgettable moments.

Kelly says one of the things that makes Lane special is the close-knit culture among its employees. Because team members know and support one another, they work seamlessly together to provide compassionate, coordinated care for patients and their families.

That teamwork shines every day in Labor & Delivery, where Kelly and her coworkers support growing families through one of the most exciting moments of their lives.

The best part of her job? Seeing the joy on parents' faces when they meet their baby for the very first time. Those moments never get old.

And yes, we deliver babies at Lane! Every day, compassionate caregivers like Kelly are here to help families safely welcome their newest additions while providing exceptional care before, during, and after delivery.

Lane Regional Medical Center was proud to have members of our leadership team attend the Louisiana Hospital Association's Annual Meeting & Summer Conference.

CEO Frank Corcoran and Chief Strategic Initiatives Officer LJ Baker joined healthcare leaders from across Louisiana for educational sessions and discussions focused on the future of healthcare. The conference provided an opportunity to exchange ideas, address emerging challenges, and explore strategies that help hospitals continue delivering high-quality care to the communities they serve.

Staying engaged with healthcare leaders across the state helps Lane remain informed about emerging trends, best practices, and opportunities to better serve our patients and community.

A clean, welcoming environment doesn't happen by chance—it happens because of dedicated team members like Maurice Wilson.

As Lane's EVS Supervisor, Maurice takes pride in making sure every patient area is spotless. He knows that a clean hospital helps patients feel more comfortable and supports exceptional care.

What Maurice enjoys most is interacting with people while doing work he genuinely loves. Whether he's keeping the hallways looking their best or greeting patients with a smile, he believes every detail matters.

Outside of work, you'll still find Maurice doing what he enjoys most—cleaning, tackling yardwork, washing vehicles, spending time with his dogs, and taking time to recharge.

When asked why others should consider a career at Lane, Maurice doesn't hesitate: "Lane is one of the greatest places to work in Louisiana." He credits the positive culture, teamwork, and the opportunity to work alongside great people every day.

We are proud to recognize Dr. Keith Elbourne, one of Lane's OB/GYN physicians, for serving as a panelist during “Menopausium”, a women's wellness symposium this past weekend at the Americana YMCA.

Dr. Elbourne joined fellow healthcare professionals to share insights on women's health and wellness, helping educate and empower women at every stage of life. We appreciate his commitment to providing expert care both inside and outside the walls of our hospital and for representing Lane Regional Medical Center in our community.
