At Lane, we’re always looking for ways to strengthen our preparedness and ensure we can continue caring for the communities we serve—especially during severe weather and other emergencies.

This week, Lane Chief Strategic Initiatives Officer, LJ Baker, had the opportunity to learn more about innovative emergency power solutions that help healthcare organizations remain resilient when they’re needed most. Thank you to Baton Rouge General for hosting and to everyone who shared their expertise and insights.

When it comes to stroke care, every minute matters.

Recently, members of Lane Regional Medical Center's team completed the Louisiana Emergency Response Network (LERN) Stroke Recognition and Response course, enhancing their knowledge of advanced stroke assessment, rapid intervention strategies, and evidence-based protocols designed to improve patient outcomes.

The training focused on the critical decisions that occur in the first moments of a suspected stroke, including identifying stroke severity, understanding treatment time windows, and ensuring patients receive the right care as quickly as possible.

Continuous education helps our team stay at the forefront of stroke care and reflects Lane's commitment to providing high-quality, life-saving treatment for our community.

A healthy community starts with healthy moms. 💙

Lane Regional Medical Center was proud to participate in the Miles 2 Moms Run this past weekend, an event dedicated to raising awareness of maternal mental health and connecting mothers and families with valuable community resources.

Our International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant, Kiara Carnes, was on hand sharing information about breastfeeding support, safe sleep education, and other maternal health resources available through Lane. Events like these remind us how important it is to ensure mothers feel supported—not just during pregnancy, but throughout their entire postpartum journey.

To learn more about Lane's maternal and women's health services, visit our website or contact our Women's Services team.

Thank you to the organizers, participants, and community partners who came together to champion maternal health and well-being. We are honored to be part of a community that cares for moms and babies every step of the way.

At Lane, security is more than a job — it’s a family tradition.

We’re proud to have not one, but two father-son teams serving in Lane Security: Wayne and Austin Holliday, and Rayburn “Ray” and Jayden Deville.

Together, these families represent decades of service in corrections, military, industrial, and healthcare security. From Angola and Entergy to the United States Marine Corps, their experience now helps keep Lane safe every day.

What brought them both to Lane was something simple but meaningful — feeling valued as part of the organization.

“We’re more appreciated here at Lane,” said Wayne Holliday, who has worked in security for more than three decades.

For Jayden Deville, who is beginning his career in security, the welcoming atmosphere stands out most.

“It’s nice and calm, and the people here are very friendly,” Jayden shared. Thank you to all of our Security Team members for the professionalism, calm leadership, and commitment you bring to our patients, staff, and community every day.
