A Message of Appreciation for Our Community Health Workers

First, I want to begin by saying thank you to our CEO, Dr. Alecia Cyprian, who believed in me enough to let me lead such an awesome team. Her leadership has inspired me to grow an elite team that she can be proud of.

To our incredible Community Health Worker team,

This week, we celebrated Community Health Worker Awareness Week, and I want to take a moment to recognize the extraordinary work you do every single day.

You are the heartbeat of our organization. You show up for our patients not just as service providers, but as trusted neighbors, advocates, and allies. You meet people where they are — at events, on the phone, in the community, in or out of the office — often going above and beyond to remove barriers to care that others might never see. Your ability to build trust, bridge gaps, and connect people to the resources they need is a skill that cannot be taught in any textbook. It comes from your compassion, your patience, and your genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others.
Because of you, patients who might otherwise fall through the cracks receive the care and support they deserve. Because of you, our communities are healthier, safer, and more connected. Because of you, our organization is able to fulfill its mission in ways that would simply not be possible otherwise.

I know this work is not always easy. It requires resilience, empathy, and a willingness to carry the weight of other people’s struggles alongside your own. Please know that your dedication does not go unnoticed. You make a difference in ways big and small, every day, and you deserve to be celebrated — not just this week, but always.

Thank you for everything you do. Thank you for your heart, your hustle, and your unwavering commitment to those we serve. It is an honor to be the director of such an elite, but moreover, to be able to work alongside each of you.
