Today, we would like to recognize and celebrate Shakura for successfully completing the Cairn Recovery Resources treatment program.

Since the day she first walked through our doors, Shakura has demonstrated tremendous strength, resilience, and determination. Recovery is not an easy journey, and completing treatment requires courage, commitment, and a willingness to embrace growth through life's challenges. Throughout her time with us, we have had the privilege of witnessing Shakura's transformation as she worked hard to build a brighter future for herself.

Watching individuals rediscover their confidence, purpose, and potential is one of the greatest rewards of what we do. Shakura's journey serves as a reminder that recovery is possible and that positive change can happen one step at a time.

As she leaves Cairn and begins this exciting new chapter, we are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished. We have no doubt that her perseverance and success will continue to inspire others who are walking their own path toward recovery.

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Abby Hyde 🌟

Meet Abby Hyde, our Onsite Operations Coordinator at Cairn Recovery Resources-Columbus office! Abby has been part of the Cairn team for 9 months and brings compassion, positivity, and dedication to everything she does.

“What inspired me to work in recovery services is the belief that everyone deserves a second chance. I am passionate about supporting others through every stage of their journey.”

Abby says her favorite part about working at Cairn is the shared mission among staff:

“Everyone is here for the same purpose — supporting and encouraging individuals throughout their recovery journey. It creates a strong sense of connection, compassion, and teamwork among both staff and clients.”

Outside of work, Abby enjoys staying active and spending time with loved ones. Her hobbies include yoga, going to the gym, biking, trying new restaurants, playing video games, reading, and cooking.

One quote Abby lives by is:
“The time will pass anyway.”

“This quote reminds me that whether we choose to start or not, time will continue to move forward, so we might as well take the first step.”

What keeps Abby motivated each day is witnessing the transformation clients experience throughout recovery:

We had a great time at our Men’s Field Day last week! We enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship, friendly competition, and great food. Our guys showed up ready to compete and left it all on the field. We are proud of the effort these men put in and the outstanding teamwork they demonstrated throughout the day.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make the event such a success. We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Last week, our women’s location in Columbus came together, clients and staff alike, to celebrate, connect, and enjoy time with one another outside of the everyday routine. Moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do.

Recovery is built through support, connection, trust, and community. When we come together as a team, we are reminded that no one has to walk through recovery alone. Every client, every staff member, and every shared moment plays a role in creating an environment where healing and growth are possible.

We are so proud of the strength, resilience, and hard work our clients continue to show each day, and grateful for a team that pours so much care and compassion into the work they do. Together, we continue to believe in one thing above all else , recovery is possible.

Nothing better than getting the community together for a great cause and having a little fun while doing it!

Our team had a blast at the Drug Free Muskingum Color Run 2026. We loved seeing so many people come out to support prevention, recovery, and a healthier community. Between the color, the laughs, and the positive energy, it was such a great day to be a part of, even with the rain.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the event such a success-we’re already looking forward to next year! 💙
