One thing that affects our elderly veterans heavily is their mental health after falling ill. They tend to get depressed and want to give up as they feel there is no other option for them. Feeling like a burden to their families and overall useless, they want to stop bathing, eating and trying. This is where our phenomenal caregiver Rachel comes in! She has a few clients that had told her they wanted to give up; they don't want to eat and there is nothing left here for them. This is extremely heartbreaking for our caregivers to hear and especially hard for Rachel to hear. So, Rachel encourages them to keep trying, to keep pushing, that they are loved and wanted; she speaks life into her clients. This is extremely important and amazing for Rachel to do as it is very beneficial for our clients. We absolutely love that Rachel feels so deeply for her clients and builds them up the way she does as it is effective and working. Her clients are a little happier and trying; and that's what matters.
We need more Rachel's in the world. 🖤

We had so much fun today at the fair! Our Operating Director Crystal, alongside the rest of the members of the Community Resource Alliance packed and served 200 lunches for our seniors in Muskingum County.
