Brad Edwards turned personal tragedy into action by founding Dads to Doulas, a free program educating Black fathers on childbirth and infant care. Born after the loss of his twin sons in 2017, the program equips dads with doula-level training to support partners, recognize complications, and advocate during pregnancy and delivery. Its goal is to reduce Black maternal and infant mortality while empowering fathers to transform the birthing experience. 👶🏾

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, and every year on October 15, all across the globe, thousands of people join bereaved families to commemorate our babies by lighting a candle in their honor. This event is called Wave of Light and it brings together those grieving the loss of a child in a ceremony of unity. Candles are lit for one hour, creating a continuous chain of light that spans across the world for a 24-hour period. Please share this information and encourage those who have experienced infant loss to join us on October 15.
