Did you know? Skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes are not quite the same.

Skilled nursing provides physician-directed medical care and rehabilitation after an illness, injury, or surgery. Nursing homes primarily provide ongoing help with daily living.

Skilled nursing stays are often short-term and recovery-focused (though can be ongoing to treat chronic conditions,) while nursing home care is usually long-term.

We offer skilled nursing care, both long and short-term, at all our Medilodge facilities. Reach out to us and schedule a tour to learn more!

Our residents were honored to participate in the Zeeland Memorial Day Parade! Our veterans proudly rode along on the bus while our dedicated staff members walked alongside carrying our Zeeland. It was a meaningful opportunity to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community and to help our residents celebrate this important day of remembrance.

💜 Today’s Nursing Home Week theme focused on Alzheimer’s Awareness 💜

Our staff wore purple to show their support for our residents, families, and everyone impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and dementia. We are proud to stand together in raising awareness for this important cause. 💜

Thank you to the Alzheimer’s Association for the incredible work you do to support individuals and families in our community, and thank you to our dedicated MediLodge of Zeeland team for coming together in support and awareness.

💚 Last week, we had the honor of celebrating our incredible nurses during Nurses Week! 💚

From delicious meals to thoughtful gifts, we showed our appreciation for the compassion, dedication, and hard work our nursing team provides every single day. Thank you for the difference you make in the lives of our residents and their families!

We also kicked off Day 1 of Nursing Home Week by gifting succulents to our amazing staff as a small reminder that, just like these plants, our community continues to grow and thrive because of each of you. 🌱

Thank you for helping us succeed and for making our facility feel like home every day!
