Because that call usually means a baby is on the way.

Iโ€™ll witness a motherโ€™s strength, a fatherโ€™s love, and the very first breath of a brand new life. ๐Ÿค

The middle of the night, the missed sleep, the long hours away from my own familyโ€ฆ theyโ€™re forgotten the moment I hear that first cry.

I still get to stand beside a mom as she meets her baby for the very first time.

Sweet Baby Bodie, you are already so deeply loved. ๐Ÿ’™Watching your mom and dad become your parents was an incredible privilege. They were an amazing team from the very beginning, and it was an honor to walk beside them as they welcomed you into the world.

Breathe with her.

When you demonstrate slow, steady breaths, it gives her something to mirror without adding more words or instructions. It creates connection, helps regulate the nervous system, and reminds her sheโ€™s not doing this alone.

Birth isnโ€™t about standing on the sidelines. Itโ€™s about being an active, calming presence.
