We’re grateful to have been part of this meaningful project with My Brother's Table VI and to support the talented young people at My Brother's Workshop STX along the way.

One gift. Two neighbors helped.

When J. Benton Construction, LLC set out to give our courtyard three new picnic tables, they turned to the crew at My Brother's Workshop STX to make them.

That choice matters. Since 2007, My Brother’s Workshop has trained young people on St. Croix in the trades, pairing hands-on skills with mentoring and education.

So J. Benton’s gift did double duty: it put paid work in local young hands, and it gave our guests a new place to gather at lunch. That’s what helping your neighbors looks like.

Preparing the ground is a critical step in delivering Charlotte Amalie High School’s new campus. Crews are breaking rock and installing soil-nail retaining walls, advancing the site before foundation work begins.

Soil-nail walls reinforce the ground to help stabilize the significant slope on site. For our students, families and educators who depend on CAHS, that careful preparation is an important step toward the new campus.

Celebrating 10 Years of Impact! 🎉

J. Benton Construction was honored to sponsor the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum’s annual Worldwide Day of Play.

This free community event brought together families from across the Virgin Islands for a day filled with hands-on STREAM activities, cultural performances, and hazard resilience demonstrations.

Congratulations to the Virgin Islands Children’s Museum on 10 years of making a positive impact in our community. We are grateful to support organizations that invest in the education, creativity, and future of our youth.

A major milestone has been reached at the Estate Donoe Redevelopment Project (Tutu Phase I) with the first residential building now turned over. For the families who will call this community home, it's an important step toward safe, modern housing built to withstand future storms and support long-term resilience. As additional buildings near occupancy and critical infrastructure continues to advance, Estate Donoe is transforming into a vibrant new neighborhood designed to serve St. Thomas for generations to come.

The future Donna M. Christian Christensen, MD Health Center is being built to deliver care when our St. Croix community needs it most. The strength of the foundation will be backed by roughly 600 tons of reinforcing steel and anchor bolts to support the future structural steel frame.

Our Consigli/Benton Joint Venture team is bringing together self-performed concrete expertise and strong local trade partner collaboration to keep progress moving forward on this important project.

J. Benton Construction was proud to connect with high school seniors at the CTE Industry Day, for students exploring careers and educational pathways in construction right here at home. It was inspiring to hear about their goals and aspirations while sharing the many opportunities our industry offers throughout the Virgin Islands.

A big thank you to the students, educators, and organizers who made this event possible. Meaningful conversations like these help build awareness of the rewarding careers that contribute to the growth, development, and future of our islands.

We look forward to connecting with St. Thomas students on Friday. The future of construction in the U.S. Virgin Islands is being shaped by the students of today, and we are excited to see how their ambitions will help build tomorrow.

Successfully delivered.

J. Benton Construction has completed work on the new Department of Justice Medical Examiner's Office. The project involved site work, the installation of modular units, and interior finishes to create a fully functional medical examiner facility.

The facility includes a lobby, viewing room, Medical Examiner's office, dual-bay autopsy suite, and walk-in cooler, providing essential infrastructure to support critical forensic and public services throughout the Virgin Islands.

We are proud to have contributed our expertise to this important project and to support facilities that serve the needs of our community.

We are excited to welcome a talented new group of interns from Middle Tennessee State University, University of Wisconsin–Stout, Wentworth Institute of Technology, Central Connecticut State University, Austin Peay State University, and the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Throughout their time with J. Benton Construction, these students will gain hands-on experience in construction project management, field coordination, and project documentation as they work alongside our Project Engineers, Superintendents, and Project Managers, developing skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

When asked how they heard about our internship program, one theme stood out: word of mouth.

"I knew people who interned with JBC and loved it!"

There is no greater compliment than having former interns encourage others to follow in their footsteps. Their enthusiasm speaks volumes about the company culture, mentorship, and experience we strive to provide.
