A safe rescue takes people working together.

When a patient fell into an approximately 14-foot-deep cistern on St. Croix, V.I. Fire and Emergency Medical Services, St. Croix Rescue, and Caliber Rescue came together to provide medical care and technical rescue support.

We’re grateful to everyone who responded and relieved that the patient was brought out safely. This is what cooperation among government responders, volunteers, and the private sector can look like when our community needs us.
