🇻🇳 Ngày 18/9/2026, Lễ khởi công Bệnh viện Quốc tế Đại học Nam Cần Thơ giai đoạn 2 sẽ chính thức diễn ra, đánh dấu bước phát triển mới trong hành trình nâng cao năng lực khám chữa bệnh, phát triển kỹ thuật chuyên sâu và phục vụ nhu cầu chăm sóc sức khỏe ngày càng cao của người dân TP. Cần Thơ và khu vực Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long.
🔹 700 giường bệnh mới – nâng tổng quy mô lên 1.000 giường
Bệnh viện giai đoạn 2 được quy hoạch với 02 tầng hầm, 20 tầng nổi và 01 tầng kỹ thuật, tổng diện tích sàn khoảng 59.511 m²; phát triển hệ thống các khoa, trung tâm và đơn vị chuyên môn phục vụ từ khám, chẩn đoán, điều trị nội trú đến hồi sức, phẫu thuật và các lĩnh vực chuyên sâu.
Đáng chú ý, công trình định hướng phát triển nhiều lĩnh vực như Y học hạt nhân, Trung tâm Ung bướu, xạ trị proton, phòng mổ hybrid, Chẩn đoán hình ảnh, Hồi sức tích cực, Thận nhân tạo, Giải phẫu bệnh, Hỗ trợ sinh sản…, cùng sân đáp trực thăng, góp phần hoàn thiện hạ tầng phục vụ cấp cứu và vận chuyển người bệnh.
👩⚕️ Bệnh viện phát triển – nguồn nhân lực y tế cũng cần được phát triển tương xứng
Việc nâng quy mô từ 300 lên 1.000 giường bệnh cùng sự mở rộng của hệ thống chuyên khoa sẽ kéo theo nhu cầu phát triển đội ngũ bác sĩ, điều dưỡng, dược sĩ, kỹ thuật viên và nhiều vị trí chuyên môn, vận hành khác.
Đây không chỉ là sự đầu tư cho cơ sở vật chất mà còn mở ra thêm cơ hội đào tạo, thực hành và nghề nghiệp cho nguồn nhân lực y tế, trong đó có sinh viên khối ngành sức khỏe của Trường Đại học Nam Cần Thơ.
📚 Một điểm nổi bật của công trình là các không gian đào tạo được tích hợp ngay trong bệnh viện, với Bệnh viện mô phỏng y khoa, mô hình phòng mổ, ICU, hồi sức, nội soi, hệ thống đào tạo kỹ năng lâm sàng, OSCE, VR/AR… Qua đó tăng cường sự kết nối giữa bệnh viện – nhà trường – đào tạo – thực hành – nghiên cứu khoa học.

🇻🇳 On September 18, 2026, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Phase 2 of Nam Can Tho University International Medical Center will officially take place, marking a new milestone in the Center’s development journey toward enhancing healthcare capacity, advancing specialized medical services, and meeting the growing healthcare needs of residents in Can Tho City and the Mekong Delta region.
🔹 700 NEW BEDS – EXPANDING THE TOTAL CAPACITY TO 1,000 BEDS
Phase 2 is planned with 2 basement levels, 20 above-ground floors, and 1 technical floor, with a total floor area of approximately 59,511 m². The project will expand the system of departments, centers, and specialized units, providing comprehensive services ranging from outpatient care, diagnosis, and inpatient treatment to intensive care, surgery, and advanced medical specialties.
Notably, the project is oriented toward the development of various specialized fields, including Nuclear Medicine, an Oncology Center, proton therapy, hybrid operating rooms, diagnostic imaging, intensive care, hemodialysis, pathology, and assisted reproductive medicine. The project will also feature a helipad, contributing to the development of infrastructure for emergency care and patient transportation.
👩⚕️ AS THE MEDICAL CENTER GROWS, ITS HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE MUST GROW ACCORDINGLY
Expanding the capacity from 300 to 1,000 beds, together with the development of a broader network of specialized departments, will create greater demand for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, medical technicians, and other professional and operational staff.
This investment is not only in physical infrastructure but also creates greater opportunities for education, clinical training, and career development for healthcare professionals, including students in health sciences programs at Nam Can Tho University.
📚 A notable feature of the project is the integration of training facilities directly within the Medical Center, including a Medical Simulation Center, simulated operating rooms, ICU and critical care facilities, endoscopy training facilities, clinical skills training systems, OSCE, and VR/AR technologies. These facilities will strengthen the connection between the medical center and university, education and clinical practice, and training and scientific research.
💚 With a planned capacity of 1,000 beds, Phase 2 of Nam Can Tho University International Medical Center is expected to contribute to strengthening healthcare capacity, advancing specialized medical services, and creating a high-quality environment for the education and development of healthcare professionals in the region.
