Researchers looked at several outcomes, including: pain, anxiety and physiological responses.

Here is what they they found:
A single session of foot reflexology was associated with immediate and short-term reductions in pain, anxiety, and heart rate among women with shoulder and neck pain.

Reflexology Treatments – Bridging the Gap in Port Vila

With the loss of the only chiropractor in Port Vila, I know many people have been left without access to hands-on support for pain, discomfort and injury. I have therefore decided to offer Reflexology treatments to help bridge that gap.

I have over 25 years of clinical experience and have worked with a wide range of conditions. Reflexology is a treatment that works through specific reflex points on the feet, with different areas of the foot corresponding to different parts of the body.

I will be offering 20-minute targeted treatments for 4,000 VUV. During each session, I will focus on the areas of the body that are causing pain or discomfort.

For example, if you are experiencing lower back pain, I may work the reflex points relating to the spine and lower back, as well as the adrenal reflexes. As you will see from the images below, the whole body is represented on the feet.

Where appropriate, I will also offer Vertical Reflexology, which is a treatment performed while you are standing.

If you have recently experienced an injury, it is generally beneficial to address it as early as possible. The longer an injury or pain is left untreated, the more difficult it can be to resolve. I can also provide simple exercises and advice that you can continue at home to support your recovery.

My aim is to provide relief, comfort and practical support, with the understanding that results can vary depending on how long you have been experiencing the pain or how recent the injury is.
