MEET MELISSA - THE THERAPIST, TEACHER, PRACTITIONER
Introducing a New Dimension of Creative Wellness ✨🪴
We’re delighted to welcome Melissa to the Ananda Yoga & Wellness Center Family.🙏🤗
Melissa brings an unusually rich and diverse professional background to her work as a qualified German Wellness Therapist, Life Coach, Art Teacher and Art & Movement Therapist, as well as the founder of ARTOPiA — Therapeutic & Creative Life
Art • Movement • Connection • Wellbeing
Her journey into therapeutic wellness began long before it became her profession. As a young teenager, a serious illness became a profound turning point in her life, prompting her to rethink her original dream of becoming an actress and artist and sparking a deeper curiosity about medicine, the human body and what it truly means to support wellbeing.
That curiosity eventually led her from the performing and fine arts into wellness therapy, relaxation, movement, coaching and therapeutic arts. Her professional training and experience have taken her across Germany, Europe, England, the United States, South Africa, India, Hawaii and Vanuatu, where she has worked extensively with both children and adults.
🎨 For our younger community, Melissa brings her professional training as an Art Teacher and Art & Movement Therapist, including specialized Waldorf education training and three years of teaching experience in German schools.
Her creative programs are designed to be much more than simply learning to draw or paint. They nurture imagination, confidence, self-expression, sensory exploration and joyful connection through art.
🌿 For women and mothers, Melissa offers life coaching, relaxation and embodied wellbeing, with a particular passion for supporting women through times of transition — including pregnancy, postpartum, motherhood, returning to the workplace, and finding a healthy balance between caring for others and caring for themselves.
✨ Her work also encompasses mindful and therapeutic movement, relaxation therapies, mindful art, and supportive approaches to grief and emotional wellbeing.
At the heart of Melissa’s philosophy is a simple belief:
“Wellbeing is whole-person work. We are beautifully multifaceted beings, and true wellbeing comes from nurturing every part of who we are.”
Sometimes we need to talk, cook, eat.
Sometimes we need to laugh loudly, cry, move, create, play, breathe, rest — or simply pause.
And sometimes, we simply need a safe space to reconnect with ourselves.
We’re excited to have Melissa bringing her experience, creativity and warmth to Ananda Centre, and we look forward to sharing her upcoming programs with you.
Welcome to the Ananda Family, Melissa! ✨🪴
Namaste!🙏😇
