This Wednesday, the first episode of Season 3 drops! But before we get there, I thought I’d throw it back to another fitness legend in the Madison area — Jared Markiewicz.

Jared is the founder of Functional Integrated Training, and in this episode we talk about his evolution as a trainer and business owner, what he’s created that makes FIT different, and the mindset behind continuing to grow and evolve.

Fitness. Entrepreneurship. Creating something with intention. This conversation hits on all of it.

Season 2, Episode 33 — worth a listen while you wait for Season 3!

One of the things I love most about hosting this podcast is the friendships that form along the way—and I can definitely say that about this episode.

I sat down with Missy Oelke-Jorenby and Jill Phillips, founders of Ethos Medical Spa, to talk about skincare, self-care, and why taking care of your skin is about so much more than how you look. We talk about the services they offer, wellness, aging, and taking care of yourself at every stage of life.

And this episode still holds the title for one of the most epic answers to my “question for your future self.” You’ll have to listen for that one.

Another way to keep working toward that best version of yourself.

And if you go check out Ethos Medical Spa, use code FITTRIBE for 10% off your service!

MEET YOUR HOST

With Season 3 of the MY FIT TRIBE Podcast almost here, I thought it might be a good time to reintroduce myself.

I’m Erika Sweeney — entrepreneur, podcast host, speaker, wife, mom, lifelong work in progress, and someone who is endlessly curious about what makes us better.

For almost 25 years, I’ve been building businesses. But somewhere along the way, my definition of success started to change.

My own journey through fitness, bodybuilding, health challenges, personal growth and some pretty big life pivots made me start asking different questions.

What makes us feel our best?
What keeps us stuck?
What helps us move forward?
And what becomes possible when we start believing there might be more for us?

Those questions eventually became the MY FIT TRIBE Podcast.

This show isn’t just about fitness. We talk about the whole picture — mind, body, spirit, business, relationships, purpose, fear, resilience and the choices we make every day.

I don’t have all the answers. That’s actually why I love doing this.

I get to sit down with incredible people, ask questions, learn alongside you and hopefully create conversations that make someone think differently or take one small step forward.

Because I believe everything can change when you start to believe in what’s possible.

Welcome to MY FIT TRIBE.

Season 3 starts September 2.

HOT EPISODE TODAY: Season 1, Episode 19

If you’re looking for a little fitness or nutrition inspiration today, this is a great episode to revisit.

I’m joined by Renee Schneider, bodybuilder, owner of Trio Coaching, and functional health coach. We talk about taking the overwhelm out of nutrition with real, actionable ideas—from simplifying meal prep and making healthy food actually taste good to finding a balance between your goals and everyday life.

And the timing of this flashback couldn’t be better. Renee is absolutely nailing her prep for the 2026 season and is such a great example of what consistency and commitment can look like.

Whether you’re working toward a fitness goal or simply looking for some fresh ideas to support your wellness, there’s a lot to take away from this conversation.

A week from today, we start Season 3 of the MY FIT TRIBE Podcast.

But before we do, I want to share a little about why I believe so much in the power of podcasts.

Back in 2019, when I signed up for my first bodybuilding competition, I was terrified. Like sick-to-my-stomach, what did I get myself into? terrified.

My now dear friend Vicki recommended a podcast. At that point, I barely knew what podcasts were, let alone understood the significance of listening in on someone else’s conversation.

But something happened.

It reframed my thoughts. It validated some of what I was experiencing. It introduced me to new ideas and perspectives. And most importantly, it created momentum.

Everything changes when you start to believe in what’s possible.

And part of that is being intentional about the information, positivity and people you surround yourself with.

That’s a big part of why MY FIT TRIBE exists today.

So if you haven’t jumped into the world of podcasts yet, there are 76 episodes waiting for you. Scroll through the feed and pick the conversation that calls to you.

You never know which conversation might shift your perspective, inspire you to take a step, or even start a new chapter.

Season 3 starts next Wednesday

As we approach two years of the My Fit Tribe Podcast and Season 3 dropping next week, it feels like a good time to take a little inventory.

76 episodes.
12,600 downloads.
89 countries.
1,240 cities.
Best of Madison finalist.

Those numbers are pretty incredible to see. But the part that matters most to me can’t really be measured.

It’s the messages. The conversations. Hearing that someone listened to an episode and decided to take a step, make a change, ask a question, or pivot in their own life.

Our habits influence our choices. Our choices shape our path.

And somewhere along the way, this podcast has helped me find more of my own path too. I continue to learn what it means to show up authentically, stay curious, and focus on making an impact—one conversation at a time.

This week we’re recording FOUR more episodes, and we already have an incredible lineup ready to share.

Season 3 is almost here.

And I have a feeling we’re just getting started.

Flashback to Season 2, Episode 2 with Amanda Preimesberger, founder of Roots MD.

Direct Primary Care was something I wanted to understand better—not only what it is, but how changing the traditional healthcare model can change the experience for both patients and providers.

Amanda breaks down how DPC works, why having greater access to your provider matters, and how a more personal and proactive approach can empower us to take a bigger role in our own health.

I’m a huge believer in learning about the options available to us when it comes to our wellness, and this conversation is a great place to start.

Three weeks from today, Season 3 begins!

If you’ve listened to the My Fit Tribe Podcast, you know we end each episode by looking back and looking forward. This season, we’re adding something new: one actionable step you can take.

I’ve learned that listening to the stories and experiences of others can provide guidance, spark motivation, and remind us that we’re not alone. But inspiration is only part of it. This season, I want each conversation to give you something you can actually take with you—a way to move forward.

One conversation. One takeaway. One step toward finding your best version.

The countdown is on. Season 3 starts in THREE WEEKS!
