The NDIS changed lives. It gave people with disability real choice and independence.

The NDIS Amendment Bill in its current form puts all of that at risk. Restricting supports and narrowing eligibility is not reform, it is a step backwards.

I am proud to stand with and the disability community in opposing these changes. We will keep fighting until this bill meets the needs of participants.

I'm sure that many of you are aware of the conversations circulating in our community about GCLA having exclusive use of the therapy pool for their sessions at Gladstone Aquatic Centre. This has been the agreement for over 10 years and it is now time for GRC to review it. Team DCN are keen that proper consultation with the community takes place before any decision is made. We have reached out to GRC representatives to begin that conversation. If you have an opinion or feedback to add to this, please put it in the comments below or email it to [email protected] because we are here to be the bridge between the disability community and decision-makers. NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US!
