A first in the history of MAZU, our family is going on vacation for two weeks in the peak of our busy season. I feel guilty, excited, proud, and so lucky. Around when MAZU turned 3, I was working a lot and the boys started talking about missing me and asking why I had to work so much. As is the perpetual game of parenting, we are forever seeking the right work-life balance. It is a constant, ever-evolving challenge, one that I wrote about at length when pregnant with Yuli. I pitched the essay to a few places with no luck, so this morning I put it on our website, the origin story of how MAZU came to be (mazueats.com). Re-reading it today has made me feel so grateful to be doing this, in this community. Thank you to our manager Lily and our dream team for making this possible, for me and for our entire family.
