If you are trying to get pregnant with PCOS/PMOS, you cannot hustle, over-exercise, or restrict your way to a healthy baby.

I learned this the hard way. Four summers ago, in the middle of a divorce and total life chaos, I tried to cope by over-scheduling, over-exercising, and running on pure adrenaline. The result? My stress skyrocketed, my cycles went completely MIA, and my body forced me to a hard stop when I literally broke my ankle.

That was the turning point where I realized what chronic stress was doing to my hormones—and it’s the exact same thing happening to so many smart, successful women trying to conceive.

👋Hi or bye! I'm not for everybody, and that's okay with me.

As someone who used to be a major people pleaser, I was always the one being nice and not speaking up too much or too loudly so I don’t rock the boat.

Through years of working on myself and learning to have opinions and voice them, I have gotten more comfortable sharing them and standing by them.

I used to hate my body and dread summer.

The pressure to have a "perfect" bikini body, while constantly comparing myself to models, all while navigating the complexity of PCOS/PMOS, was the perfect storm for deep body shame.

But everything changed for me a few years ago.

I went through a divorce, broke my ankle, and ultimately hit rock bottom navigating a huge life shift. The compounding stress triggered a return of my PCOS symptoms: rapid weight gain and irregular periods.

But here’s the twist: That injury forced me to stop.

As a recovering perfectionist, I couldn’t hustle, over-exercise, or over-schedule my way out of it. I had no choice but to rest, receive help, & be still. Without realizing it at the time, that forced stillness took my body out of a chronic fight-or-flight survival state & into a regulated nervous system.

The shift:
☁️ I began sleeping deeply.
💗 My high stress levels melted.
🌙 My natural cycle returned.
✨ My body began to heal without intense workouts or restrictive eating.

That experience completely rewired how I relate to my body. Today, when I put on a swimsuit, I’m not analyzing my midsection—I’m celebrating the resilience of my body.

&I want that exact freedom for you this summer.

When you are a high-achieving woman, you think the solution is to try harder, restrict more, & punish your body at the gym. But that hyper-vigilance is actually triggering a massive Nervous System Block. Your body interprets that constant pressure as an unsafe environment to drop weight or sustain a pregnancy.

I normally pride myself on dropping a newsletter into my community's inbox every single Wednesday morning. But this week? ✨Life happened. ✨

I could have forced myself to push out a mediocre, rushed email just to stay on an arbitrary schedule, but I chose to wait, protect my peace, and write something genuinely valuable instead.

I’ve applied that same grace to my movement lately. I haven’t had the capacity for intense, hour-long workouts. While I miss them, I am prioritizing sleep 💤 and replacing them with walks or quick 15-minute resistance-band sessions. It’s a shift from punishing my body to nourishing it.🧘‍♀️

I’ve also put a hold on my tabla (Indian classical drums) lessons for a few weeks until things settle back down!

This past Sunday, I had the honor of meeting Cindy Eckert, the Founder & CEO of Sprout Pharmaceuticals and the powerhouse who got Addyi (the "female Vi**ra") FDA-approved for women struggling with HSDD (hypoactive sexual desire disorder).

We watched the documentary “The Pink Pill: S*x, Drugs and Who Has Control.” It highlights the 10-year battle to get this medication approved and accessible.

This documentary isn’t just about one pill. It shines a massive, blinding spotlight on how broken the medical system is when it comes to women. The lack of education for providers, the blatant lack of interest in addressing our concerns, and the exhausting burden placed on women to aggressively advocate for themselves just to get basic care.

Watching it completely re-ignited my fire. This is the exact same uphill battle we face in the PCOS/PMOS community every single day.
Cindy’s story hit so close to home. She saw a system failing women, refused to accept it, and built the solution herself.

It took me right back to my own PCOS diagnosis. I was handed birth control, given zero education, and told: "If you struggle to get pregnant later, we’ll just give you more meds." When symptoms flared 7 years later? "Just stay on the pill and take Metformin."
I wanted real answers that addressed the root cause, not just a band-aid. So, I took matters into my own hands. After years of trial, error, and the exhausting hope-and-disappointment rollercoaster, I found what worked. I became the healthcare provider I wish I had back then.

Hear me out: As women, we are not lazy, stupid, or broken. We are just rarely given the right tools. Managing PCOS isn't about "eating less and working out more." It requires looking at insulin resistance, inflammation, and stress management.
