Create a life you don't have the need to escape from, so you don't need to project your unfulfilled desires onto people you follow online, you will never be able to escape from your inner self wherever you are 👇🏽

People who follow me online often assume I live a fairytale life.

They see beautiful pictures out in nature and assume I am at peace all the time and have zero worries ..

Just because you move to Spain or rural nature doesn't particularly take away your worries. That's a believe people hold, but new places come with new and different challenges and you take yourself with you wherever you go.

For the record, I am a single woman who moved countries by herself, who is raising a male puppy on her own and who also needs to make a living, just like everyone else. So I can provide for myself, my dog and live the life I so deeply love.

I really love my life in rural Alpujarra mountains, but just to make it clear, it doesn't come easy and it is not for everyone. I am not free of worries and I am definitely not always calm, centered or peaceful.

Mountain life is rough and has its own challenges due to the weather conditions and being so exposed to the elements.

By no means I wish to expose myself in a way that my life seems perfect. I just really LOVE to share the beauty of nature and help you find beauty in the land WHEREVER YOU ARE.

I know I do not particularly need to explain myself, but sometimes I get really tired of the projections people place upon me or my life and not see how much effort it actually took me to get here and this goes for other people too. We always focus on the results, but never see the building it took behind the scenes ..

Selfpitty rant OVER 😅

It is beautiful to feel inspired and yet the time of putting others or their lives on pedestals is over too.

So check in with yourself, get to know your desires and dare to follow them !!

We're all just figuring things out along the way anyway, no one really knows the f*ck what they're doing even if they pretend to 😅

Not a single one of the people I am connected to are not going through some sort of identity shift, me included.

It's interesting how we as human beings will find safety in certainty and in the holding on to things that often has expired way too long ago, but gives us a sense of comfort and security.

Don't get me wrong, it's good to have a healthy amount of comfort and security, especially in these wild times we live in.

Yet .. As human beings we have been conditioned by the world we grew up in, it shaped us in ways that are deeply patterned and wired within our system. And they are not always healthy or beneficial for our growth or higher calling.

Earth is going through her own identity shift, the world we know and grew up in has been breaking down for many years now and it should ..

We need a radical change for something new to be born and build which will be beneficial for ALL.

The building, for me, is currently happening behind the scenes, not loud and exposed, yet it is slowly forming, like clay, ..

And the head of the cosmic dragon is already working its magic.

We need old identities to die and transform in order for us to step into a calling that feels more aligned with the new that wants to be born through us.

The Cosmic dragon has changed its course now🐉

Can you feel it ?

Some of you probably already felt it stirring inside your bones, how the North Nodes have shifted in the Sky - As above So below.

The Nodes always show us where we personally and collectively move towards (the North Node or head of the dragon) and what we need to leave behind (the South Node or tail of the dragon) in order to build towards a healthier future.

I will keep it short as we have 18 months to move through this transit and I never like to rush or be rushed - panicky posts enough these days in the field.

Anyway ..

Key nodes:

• Moving from personal Karma to Dharma aka purpose.

• Join groups, communities, projects that support your personal purpose or build them yourself.

• Say goodbye to those who don't.

• Let go of habits, patterns and distractions that make you leak energy, preserve your life force.

• Letting go of self centredness, personal gain or the need to do things to prove or gain personal recognition (The Leo shadow) think: how can I serve in a unique way that benefits the whole ? (Aquarius Archetype at its best).

• Learn how to shine and honour your authenticity within those groups.

Being able to connect to the whole world is beautiful.

We get to meet people from all different corners of the world and stay connected to eachother online.

And also, at the same time, being connected to the whole world is also A LOT for our systems to process.

Are you aware of that ?

How your system absorbs all the news from far away lands that you also need to process. I don't know about you, but for me that is a whole lot to deal with.

So what instead of consuming, absorbing and processing all of that information we transform that into positive actions towards our own little corner of the world ?

Instead of creating energy leaks, pour our energy into our local fauna, flora and communities ?

A lot of people feel powerless these days, like their actions don't matter. But small acts of purpose create a beautiful butterfly effect into the field, .. don't ever forget that.

Small, simple, daily acts of purpose, ..

Buying local, growing a vegetable garden or flowers where the bees benefit from, taking care of an elder, really being present with someone and listen, my goddess so many people love to talk, but can you slow down, breathe and truly listen, ..

We are connected to the whole wide world, but barely know the plants, trees, .. that grow close to us. Yet this is where it starts.

Start simple, start local and remember that a whole lot of small acts together create something bigger in the end .

Living more intentionally and closer to the land I walk upon has giving me so much joy 🍋

When I lived on a small plot of land last Autumn, Winter & Spring, there was one big beautiful olive tree bearing ripe fruits in November. It was a beautiful guardian tree that offered shade when chilling in the hammock. A tree we pruned early spring with love, care and intention.

I harvested a bunch of olives in November and moved through the whole process of preserving and preparing them for consumption.

It was a super easy, simple and very satisfying process.

Raw olives are not edible as they contain bitters from the oleuropein, so they need to undergo a curing process before they're ready to eat. For this curing process I kept them in jars and washed them daily with chlorine free water for a whole month and then later preserved them in a brine = saltwater solution.

Last week, after I fully landed at my new spot, I prepared them with olive oil, local lemon, rosemary from the wild, homegrown garlic and some vinegar. Yum ! 😋

It makes me feel so good to be able to preserve some of my food, not from a place of scarcity or lack, but from a place of love and abundance for what the Earth offers us so freely.

I really love to know where my food grows and comes from, it makes me feel connected to the land, my hands and my heart 👐🏽 🍃 💛 🌳 🍋

After one whole year cycle, moving through all the spicy seasons, rooting deeper with the landscapes, Alpujarra has become my true home base.

I am slowly overcoming my fear of speaking Spanish. I sound silly from time to time and I make lots of mistakes, but hey, we all gotta start somewhere 😏

Also, this month my brother will come and visit and I am soooooo excited and happy to be able to show a part of my family where I live.

Summer season is really special to me. It asks a bit of resilience and a whole lot of scheduling our life around the heat. But when we learn to surrender and live with nature and her elements and do what the ancestors of these lands have been doing for centuries, we'll be alright.

I fully understand the Spanish term mañana now 😜
If it is not today, it's tomorrow 👐🏽

The garden house I live in becomes a cave during the hottest hours and my inner bat kinda likes it 🦇

Besides my caretaker job, I am creating, writing, working on things behind the scenes, .. less outwards, more inwards, .. really present with where I am too. Letting go of a lot of noice and distractions, ..

Summer hibernation is ON and I'm loving it !

SACRED SIERRA - A year on a Spanish Mountain, is full of beautiful synchronicities of the small things I do and love living in the Alpujarra mountains.

"Rosemary, meanwhile, was the Queen of the Countryside, its pale blue flowers like droplets from the sky. Romero, para amor verdadero, people said, as they plucked a twig or two on a country walk to take back home with them: rosemary, for true love.

No Spanish woman considered a walk out of her village or town complete without picking up some rosemary along the way .. "

My little garden house always smells of Rosemary now 🌬 🍃 ⛰ 🌿
