🍂 As the leaves change and the days get shorter, fall can bring a mix of emotions. You may find yourself feeling overwhelmed, reflecting on the past, or struggling with changes in your routine.

Remember, you don’t have to navigate it all alone. ❤️ Therapy can be a space to slow down, process your emotions, and reconnect with yourself.

🍁 You deserve to make time for yourself this season, too.

This is important. A lot of times people expect you to drop everything that you want for their benefit. In sessions, we can find the balance of this. What this could look like in therapy is learning to set boundaries with those around you, while getting to you who you are as an adult. Learning who you as an adult looks like shedding the expectations that were put on you as a child. If you relate to this.. let’s talk.

A little reminder 💙

Setting boundaries can be so scary. This is where parts work really comes into play. We have to help you child part feel secure. This is where I would use Emdr and parts work. Let’s work on setting down the heavy armor together.

This is such a great thing to keep in mind. Making time for the things that are special to us or spending time with family or friends is the most important. Laundry or dishes are things that can wait. What are the things that are the most important for you?

The things in life that really matter are rarely on my "to do" list.

Hey everyone — just a little check-in as we roll into the holidays. This time of year can be a lot. Between the pressure to be festive, family dynamics, money stress, and shorter days messing with our mood, it’s totally okay if you’re not feeling 100% holly jolly.

If you’re feeling tired, anxious, or just kind of “meh,” you’re not alone. The winter months can hit hard — less sunlight, more expectations, and a million reminders that everyone else seems to be thriving (spoiler: they’re not). The holiday's don't have to be perfect for you to enjoy them.

If you know of anyone who is struggling during the season, encourage them to reach out.

Mid-summer check-in: Anyone else feeling that strange combo of “I should be living my best life” and “I’m absolutely exhausted and just want to sit in front of a fan and disassociate”?

Summer can be beautiful, but it also brings pressure — to be social, to travel, to feel amazing all the time. And honestly? Sometimes it just feels like too much.

If you’re feeling mentally fried, overstimulated, or noticing old stuff creeping back up — it might be a good time to check in with yourself. I’ve been doing EMDR therapy and it’s wild how much our nervous systems hold on to, even in the middle of sunny skies and good vibes.

☀️ Hydrate
💤 Rest
🧠 Heal (even in summer)
📵 Log off when needed

Mental health doesn’t take a summer break — and neither should your self-care.

It's almost a new year!! How is that possible?!? You know what that means...It's time to make yourself a priority. 2024 definitely had its highs and lows, but this year coming up is about prioritizing You.

Self care is more than just a fad. Its a way to be and live. Its about setting boundaries, taking breaks, asking for help, and being kinder to ourselves. It's about being able to say No.

Here is to growth, making yourself a priority, and going into this New Year being You ( but a happier version of you)

Let's navigate this together.

-Allie
