Urinary leakage. Recurrent UTIs. Pelvic heaviness. Difficulty emptying your bladder.

If any of these sound familiar after childbirth, you are not alone.

While these symptoms may be common, they should not automatically be accepted as part of motherhood.

👉 Swipe to learn why these symptoms happen and what may help.

Common does not necessarily mean normal.

Women's bladder health concerns are common—but common doesn't always mean normal

Thank you to everyone who joined Dr Fiona Wu on PRIME Magazine webinar series #5 where we discussed more on female urological issues such as recurrent UTIs, bladder leakage, and pelvic floor health.

We hope the interactive session encouraged more women to understand their health and seek help with confidence.

💧 Warm Water vs Cold Water — Which Team Are You On?

Many people believe warm water is “better” for the body, while others prefer ice cold drinks first thing in the morning.

But did you know?
There is currently no evidence that warm water improves kidney detox or kidney function better than room temperature or cold water.

For most people, the key is simple:
✔️ Stay consistently hydrated
✔️ Drink enough fluids throughout the day
✔️ Choose a temperature you can comfortably maintain

👇 Tell us in the comments:
Are you Team Warm Water ☕ or Team Cold Water 🧊?

Warm water may feel soothing, but there is no evidence that it improves kidney detox or function better than room temperature water.

The key is staying adequately hydrated consistently throughout the day.

Dr Fiona Wu shares with 《联合早报》 on the hidden connection between constipation and urinary symptoms such as frequent urination, urinary urgency, urinary leakage, recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), and incomplete bladder emptying.

Constipation may increase pelvic pressure, affect normal bladder function, and gradually weaken pelvic floor support and bladder control through long term straining. Managing constipation through hydration, dietary fibre, and healthy bowel habits may help support both bowel and bladder health.

Kidney stones can come back, especially when the underlying cause is not addressed.

Prevention is not just about drinking more water. It is about building the right daily habits and understanding your personal risk factors so recurrence becomes less likely.

If you have had kidney stones before, consider a personalised prevention plan to protect your kidneys long term.

Kidney stone pain is unforgettable. But what many people do not realise is that stones can quietly form again if risk factors are not addressed.

Treating the pain is only the first step. Long term protection means understanding why the stone formed, staying well hydrated, managing diet, and following up when necessary.

Recurrence is common, but it is not inevitable. Early evaluation and consistent prevention can help reduce future attacks.

If you have had kidney stones before, consider reviewing your prevention plan before the next episode happens.
