What region does The Olive Shoot service, you may ask?🤔

Well first of all, we provide 🚗 mobile services to the child’s natural environment. This may consist of:
🏡 Their home
🏢 Their educational environment e.g. pre-school, childcare, school etc
🛤 Other community settings e.g. community centre, parks etc

The environmental setting of Occupational Therapy services may vary for each individual. This is highly influenced by the identified therapy goals and priorities. Our aim is to ensure the most suitable environmental fit for the goal attainment and for the individual!✅

Regions serviced include:
📍All suburbs in the Penrith LGA
📍The Lower Blue Mountains (upto Springwood)

We also provide 🖥 Teletherapy services (e.g. video calls, phone calls) if the individual is located out of region.

How can we help?

The Olive Shoot supports the following areas of a child's development:

🗣Social skills - Social skills are the skills one uses to communicate and interact with others.

😁Emotional regulation and management - Emotion regulation involves having an awareness of one's emotions and being equipped with appropriate strategies to manage different states of emotions.

🖐Fine motor skills - Fine motor skills involve the coordination between the small muscles of one's hands, including their fingers and wrist.

🏃‍♀️Gross motor skills - Gross motor skills are the skills that involve whole body movement and require the coordination of one's arms, legs and core, in a functional manner.

🛀 Self-care skills - Self-care skills typically involve health and hygiene tasks in addition to nutrition and safety.

🧠 Executive functioning skills - Executive functioning skills include one's working memory, flexible thinking, and self-control.

✏️School readiness and transition supports - School readiness is a measure of a child's knowledge, skills and behaviours.

👁Management sensory needs and preferences - Sensory processing difficulties may occur when an individual experiences challenges with taking in information from their surroundings and responding to it accordingly.

Hi everyone! ☺️

My name is Coralie and I am a Paediatric Occupational Therapist. I recently started this mobile Occupational Therapy service, with hopes of offering therapeutic supports to those who need it most within my local community.

A little bit about my service:
📝 I currently see self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants, in addition to private participants.
🚸I provide Early Intervention services to Neurodiverse children with a suspected or confirmed diagnosis of Autism, Global Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Learning Difficulties, Trauma and stress-related Disorders.
📍I service the Nepean and Lower Blue Mountains region.
🪁I am able to deliver OT services in the child's natural environment, whether that be at home, school or the general community e.g. parks.
