In 2021, my husband and I got married and began trying for a family.

In 2022, we faced two early miscarriages — heartbreaking, and with no clear answers.

In January 2023, we fell pregnant again. At 20 weeks, we learned we were having a little boy. The very next day, I was diagnosed with placenta previa. I went into labour at 29 weeks. Our son spent 6 days in NICU, fighting so hard — but his little body couldn't endure it.

There are no words for that kind of loss. For a long time, we didn't know if we would ever become parents.

In August 2025, we found out we were expecting again — cautiously hopeful, but carrying so much fear. That's when we found Dr Chiwanga and her team. From the very beginning, they showed us patience, kindness, and compassion. They answered every question, supported every anxious moment, and helped us find hope again when we needed it most.

At 20 weeks, we found out we were having a little girl. This pregnancy was different — in all the best ways. Healthy, strong, no complications.

On the 13th of April 2026, we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into the world. 🤍

We will always carry our little boy in our hearts. His life, though short, will always be part of our story.

But here's what we've learned — hope can exist alongside grief. After loss, it's hard to trust your body, or let yourself imagine a happy ending. But sometimes, slowly and quietly, things do change.

If you're waiting, hurting, or wondering "will it ever be our turn?" — you're not alone. Be gentle with yourself, and hold onto whatever hope you can.

There is hope after loss. And sometimes, that hope grows into something beautiful.

Don't give up. 🤍.

👨🏽 Men's Health Month: A Conversation for Men

If you and your partner have completed your family, could a vasectomy be one way you support her?

For many years, women have carried much of the responsibility that comes with family planning, pregnancy, childbirth, and contraception.

A vasectomy is a safe, highly effective, and permanent family planning option for men who are certain they do not want more children. The procedure is simple and does not affect your masculinity, s*xual performance, s*x drive, or ability to enjoy intimacy.

Choosing a vasectomy is not about giving something up — it's about taking an active role in family planning and sharing responsibility as a partner.

This Men's Health Month, I encourage men to learn the facts, ask questions, and have open conversations with their partners and healthcare providers.

🤔 Shall we do a Vasectomy FAQ? Comment YES if you're keen.

An ectopic pregnancy is nothing short of a brush with death!

This week Mai Nemaz Kubika na Mai Nematombo shares her experience with us in a face to face interview.

An ectopic pregnancy can become life-threatening if not diagnosed early.
Sadly, 90% of women in this region of Africa only reach the hospital after the pregnancy has already ruptured.

🚨 Know the warning signs:
✔️ Missed period with one-sided pelvic pain
✔️ Shoulder tip pain
✔️ Dizziness, fainting, or feeling like you might collapse
✔️ Pain that gets worse instead of improving

If you think you could be pregnant and experience any of these symptoms, seek emergency medical attention immediately. Early diagnosis can save your life.

Your health matters. Don't ignore what your body is trying to tell you.

👩🏽‍⚕️ Dysmenorrhea (Period Pain) – Part 1

3 out of 4 women in Sub-Saharan Africa experience period pain.

For generations, many of us have been told to simply “hang in there,” push through the pain, and suffer in silence. But I’m here to tell you that severe period pain is not something you should just accept as normal.

Painful periods can affect your daily activities, work, school, relationships, and overall quality of life. In some cases, they may even be a sign of an underlying condition that requires medical attention.

🎥 In this video, I talk about dysmenorrhea (period pain) and why it’s important to take your symptoms seriously.

💙 And in my next video, I’ll introduce a device that has helped many women find significant relief from period pain and improve their quality of life.

Remember, your pain is real, and help is available.

🩸 World Blood Donor Day | 14 June

Every drop counts. Every donation matters.

I have seen firsthand how donated blood can save the life of a mother during childbirth complications and help patients facing medical emergencies.

This World Blood Donor Day, I encourage everyone who is eligible to consider becoming a blood donor. Your simple act of generosity could give someone a second chance at life.

💙 Safe blood saves lives.
💙 Blood donors save lives.
💙 You could be someone's hero today.

Let's celebrate and thank all blood donors for their selfless gift of life.

Last week, we discussed Female "Hyposocks" Disorder and some of the factors that can contribute to a reduced s** drive.

In this video, I discuss a treatment option that I now offer and how it may help suitable patients regain their quality of life and intimacy.

F.y.i ladies. Long story short paracetamol remains recommended first line medication for fever and pain in pregnancy.

has long been considered safe to use during .

A growing body of cohort studies and meta-analyses has explored the potential association between prenatal acetaminophen use and neurodevelopmental outcomes in children. Although some studies report modestly increased risks of neurodevelopmental disorders in children exposed to acetaminophen prenatally, these findings must be interpreted with caution, given the inherent limitations of observational studies that may significantly affect the validity of the observed associations. While advanced statistical methods can help reduce bias, they cannot fully account for unmeasured or familial confounding.

The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine continues to advise that acetaminophen is the recommended first-line medication for the treatment of pain and fever during pregnancy.
