Planning for life after high school can be challenging for all
families, but especially when families have to navigate frequent
moves and changing services. Join KY-SPIN to learn about after high school options, adult services, and resources that support a successful transition into adulthood for youth with disabilities. Families will also learn how relocating to a new state may impact services and what steps can help address gaps in support.

Medical Readiness Clinic

A Medical Readiness Clinic (MRC) will be conducted July 22, at Building 2020 (SRP Site). Walk-ins will be accepted first come/first served 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Please note the MRC will pause for lunch from noon to 1:00 p.m.
The next MRC is scheduled to take place July 29.

The Ireland Army Health Clinic, Pharmacies and Jordan Dental Clinic will close at 1:00 p.m. for the day, July 16, for training.

After-Hours, Urgent, and Emergency Care
Here’s what to do when you need care outside of normal clinic hours.

For True Emergencies: If you experience a threat to life, limb, or eyesight, call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room immediately. The nearest emergency room to Ireland Army Health Clinic is Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.
For Urgent Health Advice: Call the MHS Nurse Advice Line (NAL) at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273), option 1.
Available 24/7, this service connects you with a registered nurse who can provide medical advice, help you find the nearest urgent care center, and schedule next-day appointments at IRAHC if needed.
Active-duty Service Members: You must call the Nurse Advice Line to receive a referral before visiting a civilian urgent care center to avoid out-of-pocket costs.

Schedule Change: July Medical Readiness Clinics
The Medical Readiness Clinic schedule for July has been modified. The usual Wednesday schedule has been shifted, with remaining clinics scheduled to take place: July 22, and July 29.

You have no doubt see the headlines about the current infections across several states that are causing 'explosive diarrhea'?

Here’s what you need to know:
This is an infection called Cyclosporiasis. It is caused by a parasite and spreads through contaminated food or water. Symptoms include diarrhea, abdominal cramps, nausea, headache, low-grade fever, and other flu-like symptoms. Today at Ireland Army Health Clinic, we proudly celebrated the promotion of SPC John Laguer to the rank of Sergeant. The ceremony was presented by Lieutenant Colonel Cody J. McDonald, clinic chief of staff (standing right). This milestone marks SGT Laguer's transition into the Non-Commissioned Officer Corps, where he will take on increased responsibility for the readiness and welfare of our Soldiers. Congratulations, Sergeant Laguer!
