What’s all the hype about protein? 🥗💪

Protein is more than just a fitness trend or something you get from protein powders. It plays an important role in muscle strength, tissue repair, immune function, recovery and keeping you satisfied after meals.

But more isn’t always better. Your protein needs depend on factors like your age, activity level, health, goals and overall diet.

And the good news? You don’t need fancy supplements to include protein in your diet. Dal, lentils, rajma, chickpeas, curd, paneer, tofu, nuts and seeds can all be part of a protein-rich, balanced diet.

The goal isn’t to chase the protein hype.
It’s to build a balanced plate that works for you. 🌱

🌱 Choose real food.

📱 Thinking about deleting social media? You may not have to.

For many of us, the issue isn't that social media exists—it's how automatically we use it. Small changes like avoiding your phone first thing in the morning, curating your feed, creating phone-free spaces, and using social media with intention can make a meaningful difference to your focus, mood, and overall well-being.

Healthy habits aren't about eliminating technology—they're about making it work for you, not against you.

💚 Which of these habits are you going to try first? Let us know in the comments.

GLP-1 receptor agonists are transforming obesity care—but medication alone is not the complete treatment.

I recently spoke on “Lifestyle Modification with Anti-Obesity Medications”, highlighting the importance of combining pharmacotherapy with structured lifestyle care.

While GLP-1 medications can reduce hunger, improve satiety and support meaningful weight loss, we also need to focus on what we preserve along the way:

🥗 Nutritional adequacy
💪 Muscle mass & strength
🌾 Gut health
😴 Sleep & recovery
🧠 Emotional & behavioural health
🔄 Long-term weight maintenance

Protein, resistance training, fiber, hydration, sleep and sustainable behaviour change remain key.

GLP-1 therapy and lifestyle medicine work best together.

The goal isn’t just weight loss—it’s healthier, sustainable weight loss while preserving overall health.

🥱 Ever wondered why you're tired even after a night's sleep—and why that first cup of coffee suddenly makes everything feel better?

The answer involves some fascinating brain chemistry.

While glutamate helps support activity and communication in the brain, adenosine helps build our drive for sleep as the day progresses. And caffeine? ☕ It doesn't actually give your body energy—it mainly blocks adenosine receptors for a while, making you feel less sleepy.

That's why relying on caffeine while neglecting sleep and recovery can sometimes become a cycle: tired → caffeine → temporary alertness → disrupted sleep → tired again.

Understanding fatigue means looking beyond the coffee cup at your sleep, stress, movement, nutrition, hydration, routines, and overall health.

💚 Don't just mask tiredness. Find out what your body needs to recover.
