Hello everyone—long time no see! Kian Tan Art Studio has officially been renamed “LOCI SEED.”
Below is an introduction in both Chinese and English:

「芥子納」之名，取意於《維摩詰經》所言「芥子納須彌」，寓指於微小之中蘊含無限的可能。芥子納並非一個預先被界定的場所，而是一種在實踐之中逐步生成的空間狀態。它隨著身體的投入、時間的推移與行動的累積而展開，於使用之中顯現其形態與意義。副標「場域意志」，指涉地方本身所承載的精神張力與生成力量。透過藝術、修行與社會實踐，芥子納關注場域如何在日常與非常之間被不斷形塑，並由此開啟感知、關係與轉化的可能性。

LOCI SEED takes its meaning from the phrase “a mustard seed containing Mount Sumeru,” originating in the Vimalakīrti Sūtra, which suggests the presence of the infinite within the minute. It is not a space defined in advance, but a spatial condition that gradually comes into being through practice, the body, and time. Its subtitle, “Field Will (genius loci),” refers to the spirit or generative force inherent in a place. Through artistic creation, spirituality, and social practice, LOCI SEED attends to how a site gradually takes shape through use, opening possibilities for perception and transformation between the ordinary and the extraordinary.

Yesterday, I visited a small tapioca cracker workshop in Bagan New Village. The auntie there still insists on making around 100 pieces by hand every day. I bought some of the uncooked cracker sheets and tried sketching a cabbage on one. It was only afterward that I realized—I really should’ve drawn a tapioca instead!

昨天拜訪了峇眼新村的一家木薯餅製作坊，auntie堅持每日手作生產約100片左右。我買了未炸過的餅皮試畫了一顆大白菜白描上去，後來才想，我應該畫木薯呀！

這學期與潘致晴主任&伍玉恬老師指導的新紀元大學學院媒體研究系的專題畢業製作，名為「特姆安族民俗文化展」。學生們需要在不到四個月的時間進行田調以及展覽生產實在不容易，也從中看見了師生們的用心與堅持，相信這場展覽也讓觀眾留下了深刻的印象。

展覽論述：
西馬的原住民主要分為三個族群，總計十八個子族群，擁有多元而獨特的文化特色。其中，特姆安族是原始馬來族的重要子族群之一，也是本次展覽的核心展示對象。

特姆安族主要分布在馬來西亞中部和南部的多個州，包括雪蘭莪、森美蘭、彭亨和柔佛等地區。他們與自然環境的關係極為緊密，森林不僅是他們生存的基礎，也是其文化和精神生活的重要支柱。

本次展覽以「Ruang Temuan」為名，寓意特姆安族的好客與包容精神。展覽聚焦雪蘭莪州浮羅甘拔士特姆安村（Kampung Orang Asli Pulau Kempas）以及武來岸特姆安村（Kampung Orang Asli Broga），通過田野調查挖掘兩個村落的獨特文化魅力與故事。
