The Katsina State Drugs and Medical Supplies Agency (DMSA) has commenced the distribution of Essential Drugs for August 2026 to the following health facilities:

This monthly distribution also includes FREE Caesarean Section (CS) medicines, FREE Safe Delivery Kits, and other essential medical commodities under the Katsina State Government’s Free Medicare Programme, ensuring that pregnant women, mothers, newborns, and other patients continue to receive quality healthcare without financial hardship.

The timely supply of these life-saving medicines and medical consumables reflects the commitment of His Excellency, Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, to providing accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare across Katsina State.

The monthly distribution includes Essential Medicines, FREE Caesarean Section (CS) medicines, FREE Safe Delivery Kits, and other critical medical commodities under the Katsina State Government’s Free Medicare Programme. This intervention is aimed at ensuring uninterrupted access to quality healthcare services for pregnant women, nursing mothers, newborns, and other patients across the state.

Also featured in today’s distribution is the continued deployment of Project CURE medical equipment to health facilities in General Hospital Dan Musa and General Hospital Musawa, as part of the statewide rollout of modern healthcare equipment officially launched by His Excellency, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, PhD, CON, Executive Governor of Katsina State, on 16 July 2026 at the Katsina State Drugs and Medical Supplies Agency.

These interventions underscore the commitment of the Katsina State Government to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, improving the availability of essential medicines and equipment, and ensuring that healthcare facilities are adequately equipped to deliver efficient, safe, and quality services to the people.

DMSA SUPPLY CHAIN ADVANCEMENT: COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH LAUNCHES NEW LOGISTICS VECHICLES & INSPECTS INFRASTRUCTURE

The Honorable Commissioner of Health Hon Musa Adamu Funtua conducted an official working visit to the Drugs and Medical Supplies Agency (DMSA) headquarters to launch a newly acquired delivery vehicles to facilities across the state, renovated warehouse and new procured drugs at the DMSA.

Guided by the Executive Secretary DMSA, the Honorable Commissioner SMoH, GM HSMB, Director Pharmaceutical Services SMoH inspected three critical milestones:

Newly Renovated Warehouse: Upgraded storage infrastructure optimized to maintain standard-compliant environments for a high volume of essential medicines.

New Last-Mile Logistics Vehicles: Two brand-new delivery trucks provided by His Excellency, the Executive Governor to kickstart direct distribution to rural primary health centers.

Latest Inbound Stock Delivery: A fresh batch of high-quality health commodities procured by the DMSA, ready for immediate delivery.
