Community Health Workers rock!!

Yesterday at the Dignity Health CHW Summit -Owner of MHC- Alisa Howard wore two hats…one as the CHW Instructor for the and the other as a founding board member for the Nevada Certification Board. She got to do what she loves to do most, teach, educate, and bring awareness!

On behalf of the Nevada Certification Board in collaboration with Anne-Elizabeth Northan, its Director, she spoke to CHWs about the importance of their work, advocating for the vulnerable at such a time as this, and that CHWs are the glue to the public health, healthcare and social systems of NCB, and their profession and their work matters!

CHWs in Nevada, if you aren’t certified, you can become certified through the Nevada Certification Board!
