When people hear the word trauma, they often imagine one life-changing event.

But trauma isn't always one dramatic moment.

Sometimes it's years of feeling unheard.

Sometimes it's bullying.

Sometimes it's grief.

Sometimes it's an accident.

Sometimes it's a relationship.

Sometimes it's something that happened decades ago that still quietly affects the way we think, feel or react today.

One of the reasons I chose to train in BLAST Trauma Therapy was because I saw how many people were still carrying emotional experiences long after the event itself had passed.

Many people tell themselves,

"I should be over this by now."

But healing doesn't work to a timetable.

BLAST Trauma Therapy is designed to help people process traumatic memories in a structured way, with the aim of reducing the emotional impact those memories continue to have in the present. For many people, it offers an alternative to repeatedly reliving painful experiences through lengthy discussions.

Every person is different.

Every story is different.

That's why every session is different too.

My role isn't to tell you how you should feel.

It's to provide a safe, supportive environment where we can explore what may be keeping you stuck and help you move forward at a pace that's right for you.

πŸ’¬ Can I ask you something?

When you hear the word trauma, do you think it's something that only happens after major events, or do you believe smaller experiences can leave lasting emotional effects too?

I'd love to hear your thoughts.

If you'd like to learn more about BLAST Trauma Therapy, simply comment TALK, send me a message or WhatsApp me for a friendly, confidential conversation.

"I've heard of kinesiology... but what actually is it?"

It's probably one of the questions I'm asked more than any other.

Creative Kinesiology is a gentle, holistic therapy that recognises something many of us have experienced without really understanding...

Our minds and bodies are constantly communicating.

Think about the last time you were nervous.

Perhaps your stomach churned before an interview.

Your shoulders became tight during a stressful week.

Maybe you developed a headache after a difficult conversation.

Our emotions don't simply stay in our minds. They often show up physically.

That's where Creative Kinesiology comes in.

Using gentle muscle testing, alongside conversation and a range of holistic techniques, I begin to build a picture of what's happening within your body. Muscle testing isn't about measuring strength. It's simply one way of gathering information to help identify where your body may be under physical, emotional or energetic stress.

Every client who walks through my door has a different story.

Some arrive because they're living with anxiety.

Others are struggling with persistent pain.

Some feel completely exhausted and don't know why.

Others simply say,

"I don't feel like myself anymore."

Rather than asking, "How do we mask this symptom?", I ask a different question.

"Why might your body be responding this way?"

That doesn't mean there will always be one simple answer, but it does mean we look at you as a whole person, rather than focusing on just one symptom.

My aim is always to help your body move back towards balance, giving it the opportunity to do what it was designed to do.

πŸ’¬ Can I ask you a question?

Before today, had you ever heard of Creative Kinesiology?

❀️ Yes

πŸ‘ No

Or perhaps you've always wondered what it actually involves?

I'd genuinely love to know in the comments.

If you'd like to find out whether Creative Kinesiology could support you, simply comment TALK, send me a message, or WhatsApp me for a friendly, confidential, no-obligation chat.

πŸ’š Take a moment and think about this...

If your best friend came to you and said...

"I'm exhausted."

"I'm overwhelmed."

"I can't switch my mind off."

"I don't feel like myself anymore."

What would you say?

Would you tell them to keep pushing?

To ignore it?

To carry on pretending everything is fine?

Probably not.

You'd encourage them to slow down.

To be kinder to themselves.

To ask for support.

To remember that they don't have to face everything alone.

So here's the difficult question...

Why is it often so much harder to show ourselves the same kindness we freely give to everyone else?

Many of us are brilliant at caring for other people.

We're just not very good at caring for ourselves.

Looking after your wellbeing isn't selfish.

It's one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and the people you love.

πŸ’¬ Question:

What's one piece of advice you'd give your best friend that you know you should probably take yourself?

I'd genuinely love to read your answers.

If you'd rather chat privately, simply comment TALK and I'll get in touch.

β˜• Later... the coffee gets cold.

I recently came across a beautiful passage from Before the Coffee Gets Cold by Toshikazu Kawaguchi.

It begins with the simple words...

"Don't leave things for later. Later, the coffee gets cold..."

It made me stop and think.

How often do we say...

"I'll deal with my stress next month."

"I'll look after myself when life isn't so busy."

"I'll ask for help after the holidays."

"I'll wait until things calm down."

The trouble is, life rarely slows down by itself.

Weeks become months.

Months become years.

And before we realise it, we've become so used to living with pain, anxiety, stress or exhaustion that it starts to feel normal.

One of the things I hear most often from people after they've taken that first step is:

"I only wish I'd done this sooner."

Not because everything changes overnight.

But because they stopped waiting for the "perfect time" and started putting themselves first.

πŸ’¬ Can I ask you a question?

What have you been putting off that your future self would thank you for doing today?

I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

If today's the day you'd like to start a conversation, simply comment TALK, or send me a message. Sometimes one small step is all it takes to begin moving forward.

Have You Become So Used to Feeling This Way That It Feels Normal?

🀍 Can I ask you an honest question?

Have you become so used to feeling tired, stressed, anxious or uncomfortable that you've started to believe...

"This is just who I am now."

It happens more often than you might think.

We adapt.

We learn to live with aching joints.

We accept restless nights.

We brush off headaches.

We tell ourselves that everyone feels this stressed.

We convince ourselves that constantly worrying is just part of life.

But what if it isn't?

What if you've simply become accustomed to surviving instead of thriving?

Our minds and bodies are incredibly adaptable. The downside is that we can slowly adjust to feeling unwell without realising just how much it is affecting our quality of life.

Imagine waking up with more energy.

Imagine enjoying a day out without worrying about your pain.

Imagine your mind feeling calmer.

Imagine having the confidence to say "yes" instead of "maybe another time."

Sometimes the biggest step isn't finding the perfect solution.

It's recognising that you deserve to feel better.

πŸ’¬ I'd love to know...

Have you ever caught yourself saying, "I thought this was just normal"?

Share your thoughts below.

If you'd prefer a private conversation, simply comment TALK and I'll get in touch.

Here's a question I sometimes ask people.

If nothing changed over the next twelve months...

Would you be happy?

Would your stress be any lower?

Would your anxiety disappear?

Would your pain improve on its own?

Or would life look much the same as it does today?

It's not always an easy question to answer.

But it's often the question that inspires someone to take that first step.

Small changes made today can lead to a very different year ahead.

πŸ’¬ What would you love to be different this time next year?

We often think healing begins when someone gives us the answer.

But in my experience...

It usually starts with a question.

✨ How long have I been carrying this?

✨ When did I stop putting myself first?

✨ What if things could be different?

Those questions open doors.

They help us become curious instead of critical.

And curiosity is often where change begins.

You don't have to have all the answers today.

You just have to be willing to ask a different question.

πŸ’¬ What question have you been avoiding asking yourself?

I'd love to know.

Or simply comment TALK if you'd like to start that conversation with me.

Sometimes pain doesn't just hurt...

It quietly changes your life.

You stop going for walks.

You avoid long journeys.

You say no to invitations.

You stop booking holidays.

You don't play with the grandchildren quite as much.

Little by little, life becomes smaller.

It often happens so gradually that you barely notice.

But here's the important thing...

Your life should be bigger than your pain.

πŸ’¬ Can I ask you a question?

What's one thing you've stopped doing because of pain, stress or anxiety?

I'd love to hear your answers.

If you'd rather keep it private, comment TALK and I'll message you personally.

22/07/2026

Imagine your body could sit down with you over a cup of tea.

What do you think it would say?

"Please slow down."

"I'm tired."

"I need you to listen to me."

"I can't keep carrying all this stress."

Our bodies have an incredible way of trying to get our attention. Sometimes it's through tension. Sometimes it's pain. Sometimes it's fatigue. Sometimes it's anxiety.

Instead of asking,

"Why is this happening to me?"

Perhaps we could ask,

"What is my body trying to tell me?"

That simple shift in perspective can change everything.

πŸ’¬ If your body could say just one sentence to you today... what do you think it would be?

Share below if you'd likeβ€”or simply comment TALK if you'd rather chat privately.
