⭐️Mondays is when I’ll post about stuff I’m soaking up, chewing on & reflecting about to let you know where I am on my learning curves & for connection which fuels my 🧠. Can’t promise every Monday but, I’ll love it all the same.
Everyday is a school day!
What have I learned today?
Is a great Q that is asked in my gratitude journal. It helps consolidate the 50-60000 thoughts & 1000 problems/trouble shooting results this brain manages daily! We can have so many thoughts we often experience chaos with them!
If like me, you’re learning about your own hormonal health, personal growth, what turns your brain on & off. I’d love to hear about it. Its one of the topics I enjoy so much & love engaging with!

Burnout is not just about over-stimulation. It’s about missing the right kind of stimulation, the kind that brings us to coherence and flow.
Burnout is about not having access to pleasure, joy, safe connection, and rest.
Burnout comes from not having co-regulation, not having a safe home space, not having a network of people we can call on for help, not being able to fully express ourselves, not having time in nature, not having time for hobbies or art or play. Burnout comes from not having any of the numerous things that mammals need as social beings - clean air, reliable food sources, soundscapes without mechanical noise, natural water, singing, dancing, community, etc.
Not having what we need is just as stressful to the body as being over-stimulated. Not having what we need causes our nervous system to send the same danger signals and activate the same stress responses as when we encounter a significant threat in our environment. Not having what we need is perceived as a significant threat to the body.
Burnout recovery is not ONLY about avoiding too much stimulation and resting/sleeping as much as possible. It’s also about finding healthy and helpful stimulation to replace aversive stimulation.
The kinds of stimulation that tell us we are safe at an Autonomic level can be incredibly difficult to access in the modern world. Burnout is 100% not your fault. It’s a collective problem that requires a collective solution.
Burnout is often caused by the wrong kind of stimulation. Healing is often about finding the right kinds of stimulation for our nervous system to perceive deep safety.
I want to work towards creating a world where the right kind of stimulation is more easily accessible by all.

⭐️I found this interesting. It talks about missing the right kind of stimulation, the kind that brings us to coherence and flow which I’ve tons of experience with due to fluctuating hormone production and harnessing my hyperactivity. AI explains this here:
Hormonal fluctuations deeply impact women with ADHD because estrogen regulates dopamine, a neurotransmitter already in short supply. When estrogen levels drop—such as in the week before menstruation or during perimenopause—dopamine plummets, causing a severe spike in brain fog, inattention, impulsivity, and emotional dysregulation.
Now I’m post menopausal & recently started using oestrogen (& creatine) to overcome reactive arthritis, joint stiffness, low concentration throughout the day. The reality of this is shocking. Not only do most people not understand what is happening to them throughout their hormonal profiles as they age (watching my children observe theirs is fascinating) or menstrual cycle. Some don’t even know they can, do something about the misalignment & instead default into thinking something is wrong with them! I can tell a few stories of the importance of adjusting your dial to big up yourself (avoid the BS narrative) & improve your physical & mental health long term…maybe some other time
So if Under-stimulation contributes to burnout. I have some qs-
⭐️What are you doing to tip your work life family life dream life balance?
⭐️Are your tools & coping strategies up to date?
⭐️Do you live to exist? Or exist to live?

exploring (means I yawn a lotttt whilst at work 🤣) vagus nerve stimulation, respecting individual pacing and considering neurodivergent differences/how we experience relaxation and the relationship with ourselves. I love to offer opportunities to work with the Zen practice of noticing, and allowing which opens up the 💚 space so much so its hard to make sense of it with words.
⭐️My takeaway
I adore what Janae Elisabeth notes, “I want to work towards creating a world where the right kind of stimulation is more easily accessible by all’. So much so. I’m stealing it!
Not just to use as its a far better description than my own mission to create arty versatile fun accessible wellbeing experiences. More importantly, it captures the world view. For me anyway.
The collective opportunity. As someone who has lived with hyper vigilance and hyper independence as a CPTSD flex for over 25 years, it feels good to be able to adopt
the statement. So I am. I feel safe enough in my body to do so now.
So loudly I am saying -
⭐️I. I want to work towards creating a world where the right kind of stimulation is more easily accessible by all too! Yes I do!
