Here’s what almost nobody tells you about shilajit. 🏔️
It isn’t grown.
It isn’t manufactured.
It’s slowly pushed out of the rock itself.
Over centuries, plants get trapped and compressed between Himalayan rocks.
Then, in the warm summer months, the mountain literally weeps a dark resin out of its cracks.
That resin is shilajit.
It can only form at extreme altitude — thousands of metres up, where the conditions are just right.
Which means real shilajit is genuinely rare.
It takes the mountain centuries to make what you’d get through in a few months. 🌿
So ask yourself how it ends up cheap, glossy and stacked high on every website.
The answer is usually that it isn’t really shilajit at all.
A lot of it is heated until the good stuff is gone, cut with fillers, or made in a lab to look the part.
And here’s the surprising bit.
The more perfect and uniform it looks, the more suspicious you should be.
Real shilajit is raw and a little inconsistent.
It softens in the warmth of your hand and turns hard and brittle in the cold.
Dropped into warm water, it slowly dissolves into a golden, earthy brown — not a flat artificial black. ✨
That’s the fingerprint of the real thing.
Nature doesn’t do “flawless.” Factories do.
Ours is pulled straight from the Himalayas and purified the slow, traditional way my family always has.
No heat shortcuts. No fillers. Nothing dressed up to look pretty.
Just what the mountain made. ❤️
