If this makes you defensive, maybe that’s exactly where the work and debate starts? Facilitators im very curious, what do you think ?
Breathwork is powerful.
That’s exactly why in my opinion it should not be treated like emotional entertainment.
A playlist, a soft voice, incense, charisma and a certification are not enough when someone is lying in front of you in an altered state of consciousness.
People can open doors they didn’t even know were there.
Trauma. Shame. Grief. Panic. Dissociation. Memories. Body reactions. Silence. Collapse and much more.
And the question to me is not:
“Did they release?”
The question is:
“Were they actually SAFE?”
Are we humble enough to say sometimes: “This is beyond my scope”?
I’m wondering if we chasing releases to reassure our ego, or can we simply be present?
I love this work deeply and I’m learning every single day with every single human I meet.
This is also why I refuse to make it fancy. Breathwork sessions can be fun, full of joy, love, and much more, that’s for a fact, but…
If we want breathwork to be respected, we need less performance, less savior complex, less spiritual bypassing and a lot more ethics, care, humility and responsibility. ❤️
Powerful work requires powerful integrity. 🤍🤍
