We spend a lot of time thinking about what we want to take into the future.
What we want more of. What we want to achieve. Who we want to become.

But let’s ask ourselves “What am I no longer willing to carry?”

Not everything that has been part of your life needs to come with you into the next season.

Maybe it's a belief…a behaviour…a fear….a boundary you haven’t been brave enough to hold…Or a way of treating yourself that you're beginning to realise you deserve better than.

And equally, there are things you want to consciously take with you: A lesson…a new awareness…more self-trust…vulnerability…more of what makes you feel like you.

Write it down.
Give yourself ten minutes and make those two columns:

I'M TAKING THIS WITH ME →
I'M LEAVING THIS BEHIND →

Don't try to come up with the “right” answers. Just be honest.

Seeing something written on a page makes it much harder to keep pretending you don't already know.

💭 And if you're comfortable sharing… What's one thing you're ready to leave behind before October ends?

28/10/2026

There’s a difference between remembering what happened…
…and continuing to let it shape how you live.

You can remember.

You can learn.

You can have stronger boundaries.

You can decide what you will never accept again.

But you don’t have to keep living as though the person who hurt you is still in the room.

Sometimes we are protecting ourselves from something that has already happened.

We expect the betrayal. We anticipate the rejection. We keep people at a distance. We make ourselves smaller. We stay on guard.

And slowly, without even realising it, what happened once starts becoming the way we live every day. We project our past onto the future. And we wonder why we keep repeating patterns ?

That's when it's worth asking: Is this still protecting me…Or is it preventing me from living?

You don't have to forgive someone to move forward.

You simply get to decide that they don't get unlimited access to your future….take the lesson, strengthen the boundary, choose differently… Let yourself feel safe again… slowly, consistently, in your own time.

They had their part in your story. They don't get to write the ending.

What would it feel like to start putting yourself back on the list?

Not forcing yourself to forget or pretending you’re unaffected. Just creating enough space to reconnect with yourself… and with the life that is still here. Or possible…

If you’re ready to begin, book your appointment and make some space for you.

Something can have changed you without having to define you.

Maybe you became more guarded.
Maybe you stopped trusting people so easily.
Maybe you learned to expect the worst.
Maybe you became the version of yourself who could cope, keep going and get through it.
And maybe that version of you was exactly who you needed to be at the time.

But you don’t have to stay there forever.

You can acknowledge what happened without building your entire identity around it.
You can understand why you became the way you did… and still decide that some of those patterns no longer belong in the life you’re creating now.

You are allowed to change.
You are allowed to soften.
You are allowed to trust again.
You are allowed to become someone who feels safe in their own life.

What happened is part of your story. It doesn’t have to be the whole story.
So ask yourself: Who am I becoming now?

Not who you had to be. Not who someone else told you to be. Not who you became to survive.

Who are you becoming now?

And if you've been putting yourself last while carrying everything else, it's time to give yourself some space to care for you too.

DM to book your appointment.

Letting go doesn't mean leaving empty-handed.

You don't have to throw away the love, erase the memories, pretend it didn't matter. You don't have to filter your future because of what happened in your past.

Some things are worth honouring….those memories can remain sacred.
Some people will always have a place in your story, even if they no longer have a place in your life. But there comes a point were holding on stops being love and starts becoming a way of keeping yourself stuck.

We are made to love; not to control, not to possess, not to hold on so tightly that we stop living.

Sometimes letting go means trusting life. Trusting that what was real doesn't become less real just because it ended.

You can keep the love, keep the wisdom, the memories, the parts of yourself that grew.

And let go of the part that needed to keep holding on.

Let go of the crutch.
Keep the strength.

You don't have to carry the pain to prove that it mattered.
You honour what was by allowing yourself to live fully now.

What are you ready to stop carrying?
Take a few quiet minutes today and ask yourself that question.

And if your body has been carrying the physical weight of grief, stress and tension too, you don't have to keep pushing through that either.

Book your appointment and give yourself some space to breathe, release and reconnect with yourself.

NOT EVERYTHING WE GRIEVE GETS A FUNERAL.

We tend to think grief has a clear beginning and an obvious end.
Someone passes over. A relationship ends.
Something is lost.

We grieve.
And eventually, we’re expected to move on.

But life doesn’t always work like that...
Sometimes the thing you’re grieving is still sitting right in front of you:
- The relationship is still there; it just isn’t what it was.
- You’re living the life you have; while quietly grieving the life you thought you’d have.
- You’re becoming someone new; while letting go of who you once needed to be.

And because nobody else can see the loss, you can end up questioning whether you’re even allowed to grieve it.

You are.

You don’t need anyone else to validate the loss before you acknowledge it yourself.

Who or what have you said goodbye to without ever getting to grieve it?

What have you been calling “just life” that might actually be something you’re grieving?

23/10/2026

There’s something about being the person who is self-aware, who does the work, who understands her patterns and takes responsibility for her own healing.

You learn to hold yourself. You learn to sit with your emotions. You learn that nobody else is responsible for making you feel whole.

And I believe all of that.

But I also think we can sometimes forget that being able to hold ourselves doesn’t mean we never want to be held by someone else.

That being independent doesn’t mean we don’t crave support.

That knowing how to comfort ourselves doesn’t mean we never wish someone else would comfort us.

Sometimes, despite all the work we do, life doesn’t unfold the way we hoped. And there’s a grief in that….The life we imagined, the relationship we thought we’d have, the longing to share the weight of life with someone.

I became the person I needed.

I speak to my inner child, offer her compassion and remind her that she’s okay. But that doesn’t mean I never wish I could put the weight down and let someone else hold it for a while.

Sometimes you’re tired. Exhausted.

You don’t want another lesson in resilience.

You don’t want to have to turn your pain into growth.

You don’t want to have to be the one who figures it all out.

Sometimes you don’t want to DO. You just want to BE.

To be held.
The feeling of Safety.
To not have to be strong all the time. To drop the mask. To just fall apart. And to be held in that, without needing to fix anything.

And I think it’s okay to acknowledge that longing without making it mean there’s something missing in you.

You can trust yourself, take responsibility for your healing and know how to hold yourself, while still wanting someone beside you…whether it be a friend, a partner, or me 😂🤪

Because knowing how to hold yourself doesn’t mean you always want to have to.

You don't have to prove you've moved on.

You don't have to stop missing someone.

You don't have to make peace with what happened before you're ready.

You don't have to be able to explain why you're having a difficult day.

And you don't have to have all the answers.

You don't have to find meaning in your grief before you're ready.

Grief doesn't follow a neat timeline.

There may be days when you feel okay….

Days when you laugh….Days when you're busy and life feels almost normal.

And then there may be days when something catches you completely off guard.

That doesn't mean you've gone backwards.
It doesn't mean you're doing grief wrong.
It doesn't mean you need to start all over again.

It means you're human.

Healing isn't about reaching a point where you never feel the loss again.

Healing is about gradually learning how to carry what happened differently.

With more compassion.
More space.
Less pressure to be somewhere you're not.

You don't have to be over it.
You just have to be honest about where you are.

And you are allowed to give yourself the time and space that requires.

There may come a time when you want to ask different questions about what you've been through.

But you don't have to rush there.

You can simply be where you are today.

Grief doesn't always arrive when you're expecting it.

Sometimes it turns up in the middle of an ordinary Tuesday.....You're doing the shopping. Driving to work. Making dinner. Laughing with someone you love.

And then suddenly...a song, a smell, a photograph, a place, a familiar voice, a date. A tiny, completely unexpected reminder.

And for a moment, you're right there again.

That can be one of the strangest parts of grief.

Because you might genuinely have been feeling okay….You might have laughed that day, enjoyed yourself, you might even have thought, “I'm doing alright” ... And then something catches you.

It can be tempting to think that means you've gone backwards,..That you're not healing..That you should be further along by now.

But maybe it doesn't mean any of those things….Maybe it means something mattered. Maybe you miss someone. Maybe you're grieving a version of life you thought you'd have. Maybe a memory has touched somewhere tender.

You don't always have to understand it, or “fix” it…simply notice it and say: “Ah. There it is”, and meet yourself with a little kindness. COmpassion. Meet yourself where you are at...

Because you can be okay and still have moments that hurt.

💭 Have you ever been caught by grief on a completely ordinary day?

If you feel comfortable, tell me what caught you.

And if you'd rather keep it private, just leave a 🤍 in the comments to say “I know that feeling”.

20/10/2026

Grief can make you question things you never realised you believed.

Not just because someone or something has been taken from you; but because the loss can disrupt the assumptions you had about how life worked. It can change the lens you see the world through…

The things you quietly relied on. That the people you love will be there. That tomorrow will look something like today. That life is, to some degree, predictable. That certain that “things” simply won’t happen to you.

And when something profound breaks those assumptions, it can leave you feeling completely disorientated.

You may not only be grieving what happened. You may also be trying to work out what you believe now.

What can I rely on?
Who am I now?
What does the future look like?
Can I trust people?
Can I trust life?

This is one reason grief isn't something we can simply “move on” from.

You're not necessarily trying to get back to the life you had before. But you are trying to understand how to live in a world that no longer feels quite the same.

Healing is simply about slowly discovering: How do I live from here?

💭 I'd love to know…Have you ever experienced a loss that didn't just make you sad, but actually changed the way you looked at life?

You don't have to share the details. If you'd rather, simply comment “YES” if you recognise that feeling of the world becoming unfamiliar after loss.

And if this carousel gave you a different way of understanding your own grief, save it for a day when you might need the reminder; or share it with someone who might.
