Meet Dominique Schutte, a registered Educational Psychologist who supports children, adolescents, adults, and families through emotional, behavioural, developmental, and educational challenges.

With a warm, collaborative, and practical approach, Dominique creates a safe space where concerns can be explored with care and clarity. Whether it’s school-related struggles, emotional overwhelm, or family challenges, her focus is always on understanding each individual and building effective pathways forward.

Dominique also conducts psychoeducational assessments, offering valuable insight into learning difficulties, cognitive strengths, developmental needs, and educational support requirements. These assessments help parents, schools, and individuals make informed, supportive decisions.

Drawing on experience gained in both South Africa and China, she believes every person has unique strengths and potential. Through evidence-based care, she helps clients build resilience, confidence, and emotional wellbeing.

🎓 Does your Grade 9 or 11 learner know WHY they're choosing the subjects they're choosing?

Most teenagers pick subjects based on what their friends are doing, or what their parents expect. Very few make the choice based on a real understanding of their own strengths, interests, and aptitudes. And that mismatchshows up in Grade 10, 11, and 12 in the form of frustration, underperformance, and a growing sense of being in the wrong place.

That's exactly why we created this workshop. 💜

📋 SUBJECT & CAREER CHOICE WORKSHOP
A half-day group assessment programme facilitated by a registered Educational Psychologist and Registered Counsellor.

Each learner will:
✅ Complete a career interest and aptitude assessment
✅ Receive a personality and learning style profile
✅ Get personalised subject combination guidance for Grades 9–12
✅ Walk away with a written feedback report for learner AND parent

What is a Psychoeducational Assessment, and when might your child need one?

Many parents notice that their child is working hard at school but still seems to be struggling academically, emotionally, or behaviourally. A psychoeducational assessment can help uncover the reasons behind these challenges.

A psychoeducational assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that explores a child’s cognitive abilities, academic skills, learning profile, emotional functioning, and behavioural patterns. The goal is not to “label” a child, but to better understand how they learn and what support they may need to thrive.

These assessments can be helpful when a child is experiencing:
• Difficulties with reading, writing, or mathematics
• Attention and concentration challenges
• Learning differences
• Academic underachievement
• Emotional or behavioural concerns impacting learning
• Questions regarding school readiness or subject choices
