True Awakenings NLP Coaching & Training Centre

True Awakenings NLP Coaching & Training Centre Her journey into NLP began with a deep curiosity about human behaviour and a passion for freedom.

Whether you’re looking to enhance your career, improve relationships, or gain a deeper understanding of human behaviour, our programs and courses offer comprehensive training in proven NLP techniques. As a Master Trainer of NLP and internationally recognised coach, Anneme has dedicated her career to helping individuals, professionals, and leaders break through limitations, regulate their nervous s

ystems, and achieve profound personal and professional transformation. Anneme’s work has reached South Africa, the UK, Australia, Vietnam, Croatia, Dubai, and India, bridging diverse cultures and fostering a shared global community of NLP practitioners. I was driven to understand why people remain trapped in repeating cycles and how they can break free to live fully empowered lives. This pursuit led Anneme to train with one of the world’s leading NLP institutions, where she gained both expertise and a commitment to the highest professional standards. Through her training institution, Anneme has pioneered the integration of neuroscience and NLP, becoming the first in South Africa to introduce foundational neuroscience education into NLP certification programs. This unique approach has given clients and students a deeper understanding of how the nervous system drives behaviour, opening the door to more rapid and sustainable change. Beyond professional training, Anneme is passionate about using NLP to transform communities. Through her non-profit organisation, A Heart to Help, and its Freedom Centre, they are introducing NLP tools to survivors of domestic violence, supporting them in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and the freedom to reclaim their lives. As a leader and ambassador, her vision is to position South Africa as a recognised hub of excellence in NLP, while also advancing a personal worldwide mission: to raise awareness, expand consciousness, and create a global ecosystem of ethical, science-backed coaching. Anneme believes in mentorship, community and collective growth, ensuring that NLP continues to evolve as a credible and impactful discipline for future generations. Through international collaborations, speaking engagements, and training initiatives, she continues to represent South Africa on the global stage, creating pathways for practitioners, coaches, and trainers to gain international recognition and credibility. Over the years, Anneme’s contribution to the coaching and personal development field has been recognised with multiple international awards, celebrating both her pioneering approach to integrating neuroscience with NLP and her dedication to raising global standards of excellence. These accolades not only honour her personal journey but also highlight South Africa’s growing role in shaping the future of professional NLP worldwide.

A little moment of gratitude. 💛

I’m incredibly honoured to share that True Awakenings has been named Best NLP Coaching & Training Centre 2026 in the African Excellence Awards.

What makes this recognition particularly meaningful is that it isn’t the first time our work has been acknowledged through these awards over the years. And somehow, that makes me even more grateful rather than less.

Because behind every award is something far more important than a title.
It represents the people who trusted me enough to do the work.

The students who stepped into a training room ready to grow, learn and challenge themselves.

The clients who allowed me into some of the most personal parts of their lives.

The professionals, coaches and leaders who chose to expand the way they think, communicate and lead.

And every person who has recommended, supported, encouraged or believed in the work we do.

For many years, my commitment has remained the same: to continue raising the standard of NLP coaching and training in South Africa, while creating work that is practical, ethical, deeply transformational and capable of making a genuine difference in people's lives.

Recognition like this is never the reason for doing the work.

But it is a beautiful reminder that the work is being seen.

Thank you to MEA Markets and the African Excellence Awards for this recognition.

And most importantly, THANK YOU to every client, student, colleague and supporter who has been part of the True Awakenings journey.

I am deeply grateful. And very excited about what comes next.

Have you ever driven somewhere and barely remembered the journey?

That is unconscious competence.

You learned the skill so well that your unconscious mind now runs the pattern automatically.

This happens with useful skills.

But it also happens with unhelpful patterns.

You can become unconsciously competent at overthinking.
At avoiding conflict.
At shutting down.
At people-pleasing.
At self-criticism.
At expecting rejection.
At staying small.

This is why change requires conscious interruption.

You have to bring the old automatic pattern into awareness before you can install a new one.

And with enough practice, the new pattern can also become automatic.

Calm can become automatic.
Confidence can become automatic.
Clear communication can become automatic.
Healthy boundaries can become automatic.
Self-trust can become automatic.

You are not stuck with the patterns you learned.

You can learn new ones.

There is a stage in growth where the new way works…

But it still takes effort.

You can communicate more clearly, but you have to pause first.
You can set the boundary, but your heart races.
You can regulate your emotions, but it requires practice.
You can choose differently, but the old pattern still tries to pull you back.

This is conscious competence.

It means you are learning.
It means the new pattern is available, but not yet automatic.

This is where many people become impatient.

They think, “Why is this still hard?”

Because your brain has not repeated it enough yet.

Repetition creates familiarity.

Familiarity creates ease.

Ease creates integration.

So keep practising.

The new you is not fake just because it still feels unfamiliar.

It is simply becoming embodied.

That uncomfortable moment when you realise you do not yet know how to do something differently…

That is not failure.

That is progress.

It is the stage where you become aware of the gap between where you are and where you want to be.

And yes, it can feel uncomfortable.

You may notice how often you react.

How often you avoid.
How often you people-please.
How often you overthink.
How often you silence yourself.
How often you return to the old pattern.

But seeing the pattern is not the problem.

Seeing the pattern is what makes change possible.

This is the stage where compassion matters.

Because shame will pull you back into the old comfort zone.

Awareness, support, and practice will move you forward.

So instead of saying, “I can’t believe I still do this,” try asking:
“What am I learning to do differently now?”

That shift changes everything.

What an amazing 16 days of transformation and training!

Introducing incredible new Master NLP Practitioner graduates.

This achievement represents far more than completing an advanced training. It reflects courage, commitment, self-awareness, discipline, and a willingness to grow beyond old limitations.

Congratulations to each of you. Your dedication has been inspiring, and this is only the beginning of the impact you are now equipped to make ♥️ ✨️

Every real change moves through stages.

Stage 1: You do not know what you do not know.
This is unconscious incompetence.

Stage 2: You realise what you do not know.
This is conscious incompetence.

Stage 3: You begin practising the new skill with effort.
This is conscious competence.

Stage 4: The new skill becomes natural.
This is unconscious competence.

This is important because many people give up in stage 2.

They become aware of the gap and think they are failing.

But awareness is not failure.
Awareness is the doorway.

When you realise, “I do this pattern,” or “I do not yet know how to respond differently,” that is not the end of your growth.

That is the beginning.

You cannot change what you cannot see.

So if you are in the uncomfortable stage of noticing your own patterns, be kind to yourself.

You are not behind.

You are becoming conscious.

The growth zone is not where everything becomes easy.

It is where things become possible.

This is the place where you begin to set new goals, live more intentionally, find deeper purpose, and move beyond old limitations.

But you do not arrive there by bypassing discomfort.

You arrive there by moving through the learning zone.

One small courageous choice at a time.

The growth zone is where you realise:
“I can handle more than I thought.”
“I can learn what I did not know.”
“I can respond differently.”
“I can become more emotionally mature.”
“I can create new results.”
“I am not limited to the old version of me.”

This is where expansion becomes identity.

And eventually, what once felt impossible becomes part of your normal.

The magic is not outside you.

It is in the moment you stop letting the old comfort zone define what is available to you.

The learning zone is where things begin to shift.

It is where you stop only dreaming and start practising.

You learn new skills.
You have new conversations.
You make new decisions.
You question old beliefs.
You try, adjust, learn, and try again.

It may not feel easy at first.

In fact, it often feels messy.

That is because you are moving from automatic patterns into conscious practice.

Think about learning to drive.

At first, everything requires attention. Your hands, feet, mirrors, gears, road signs, speed, and other drivers all feel like too much.

Then, with repetition, it becomes natural.

The same applies to emotional growth.

Confidence is learned.
Boundaries are learned.
Calm is learned.
Communication is learned.
Self-trust is learned.

Do not judge yourself for needing practice.

Practice is the bridge between who you have been and who you are becoming.

Just outside your comfort zone is often the fear zone.

This is where excuses appear.

You may suddenly feel unsure.
You may become overly focused on what others will think.
You may question your ability.
You may look for reasons to delay.
You may convince yourself that now is not the right time.

This is not always a sign to stop.

It may be the exact place where awareness is needed.

The fear zone is where old identity meets new possibility.

And often, this is where people turn back.

Not because they cannot grow, but because they interpret fear as instruction.

Fear may be present when you grow.

But fear does not always get to lead.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is:
“I hear you. I know you are trying to protect me. But we are still taking the next step.”

Growth is not the absence of fear.

It is learning to move with awareness instead of being ruled by old protection patterns.

Setting a goal is powerful.

But if your self-image does not match the goal, you may sabotage the very thing you say you want.

You may want a healthier relationship, but still see yourself as someone who has to earn love.

You may want business growth, but still feel unsafe being visible.

You may want confidence, but still carry an inner image of yourself as “not enough.”

You may want emotional freedom, but still identify with the old story.

This is why many people do not need more motivation.

They need alignment.

Alignment between the goal and the identity.
Alignment between the conscious desire and the unconscious pattern.
Alignment between what they say they want and what their nervous system believes is safe.

A goal gives the mind direction.

But your self-image often determines whether you will allow yourself to arrive.

So before you ask, “How do I achieve this?”

Ask:
“Does my inner image of myself support this outcome?”
