Sport Psychology Tip for
Don’t run the 85+ km. Run the kilometre you are in.
Thinking about the entire distance can feel overwhelming. Instead, bring your focus back to the present moment - the next kilometre, the next water table, the next step.

My latest addition

Rings, a pull-up bar, and a mini gymnastics ladder—bringing my love for CrossFit into my psychology work.

The *Brave Corner* is where movement meets therapy…
where kids can feel strength, take safe risks, and learn what bravery feels like in their bodies.

Because healing isn’t just something we talk about—
it’s something we experience. Thank you for putting my vision together.

We all have feelings children and adults alike.
The question is… do we know what to do with them?
Feelings aren’t something to fix or push away.
They are signals asking for safety, movement, expression, or understanding. When we learn to name our feelings and respond to what they need, we build emotional awareness, resilience, and connection with ourselves and others.
This is the work.

When I am not in session, you will find me on the coaching floor. As a psychologist, coach, and co-owner, I am deeply passionate about the connection between mind and body because how we move, think, and feel are all intertwined. I am so proud to be part of this incredible new space at Ballito Fitness Village. If you are looking for a community of like minded people it is worth checking out.

My new space at Molly’s Park, Enterprise Crescent, North Point is officially ready 🤍

This moment means more than just a new location it represents growth, resilience, and the journey that has brought me here.

I want to take a moment to honour my gran, who has been such a strong influence in my life. I wouldn’t be the person I am, or doing the work I do, without her. She recently passed, and while she didn’t get to see this space in person, her strength and love are part of everything I build.

A bittersweet milestone, but one I carry forward with gratitude 🤍

Evidence-based PTSD treatment includes approaches such as trauma-focused CBT and EMDR, alongside body-based practices like breathwork, movement, and somatic awareness. As highlighted by Bessel van der Kolk in The Body Keeps the Score, trauma is not only remembered by the mind—it is also carried in the body. Healing often requires working with both.
