Behind almost every person on dialysis is someone quietly holding everything else together.
The lift to treatment three times a week. The medication kept track of. The appointments remembered. The household kept running on the hard days as well as the good ones.
This Women's Month, we want to acknowledge the women who do that work β the mothers, wives, partners, daughters and sisters, and the nurses and clinical technologists in our own team who care for people through some of the hardest chapters of their lives.
Much of it never appears in a clinical record. But it matters.
Our latest reflection, "Care with Dignity," is a small thank-you to all of them β link in the comments.
Is there a woman quietly holding things together for you or your family? Tell us about her below, or simply tell her. π
