Mearas Whisper

Mearas Whisper Equine Therapy & Holistic Coaching. Helping overwhelmed Teens + Women find Calm Clarity & Courage with Nature-based sessions to support Body, Heart & Mind.

Book a Quiet Reset. Sessions are facilitated by an accredited social worker in private practice, who is additionally trained in and an experienced specialist in Equine Facilitated Intervention (EFI). The herd of horses who choose to participate in sessions have freedom of movement. There is a specific focus on ensuring intentional interactions that are safe for horses and humans based on equine et

hology (the study of horses in their natural environment). The focus of EFI is NOT recreational riding, but rather on-the-ground moment-to-moment opportunities to practice self-awareness, emotional honesty, congruence and constructive relationship skills.

This week I was reminded that not every reset needs to be dramatic.

Sometimes it looks like standing quietly beside a horse.

Breathing a little more deeply.

Feeling your shoulders soften.

Remembering that your body has been asking for this all along.

I never stop being amazed by what unfolds when we simply make space for it. 🤍 If you’ve been longing for a quieter conversation with yourself, my Quiet Resets with the Herd are available by appointment.

We expect ourselves to keep going…

to keep showing up
to keep doing the things we know would help

even when something in us is asking for a different kind of attention

I’ve been reminded this week how quickly capacity shifts

how much is quietly held beneath the surface
and how important it is to notice when something needs to be tended to… before anything else

Not pushed through
not worked around

but properly tended

It’s not always comfortable to pause like that

but it changes the quality of what we’re able to hold… and how we show up within it

Where in your life might something be asking to be tended to right now?

You’re welcome to share, or reach out, if that feels easier 🌿

There are moments when life asks more of you than usual…

when things feel uncertain
or in transition
and your energy is being pulled in different directions

And it’s in those moments that the things we know would support us
are often the first to slip

Not because they don’t matter

But because we’re already holding a lot

This is where having the right kind of support makes all the difference

Not more pressure
not more to do

But something steady to come back to
when everything else feels a little unsettled 🌿

Some things feel like shifting sand here at the moment…

One of my older horses is nearing the end of his life and I’ve been spending time with him… tending, watching, honouring what is changing.

There’s a heaviness to it…
a sense of not quite being able to hold onto anything steady.

And at the same time…
a deep gratitude for the years, the bond, the lessons.

It’s a kind of in-between space…
where each next step needs to be felt into carefully to serve the highest good of all.

Alongside this, another horse has a wound that is tricky to treat because he’s a sensitive guy with a history of trust issues
and is needing slow, patient work.

I’m aware too of how these moments stretch the capacity of the herd… and of me.
And what it takes to hold space well, with the steadiness and presence this work asks for.

And so, honouring that…

I’m pressing pause on our equine facilitated sessions for a few weeks to give space for care, for tending, and for things to settle.

This work has always been about more than sessions.

It’s about presence, care and meeting what is here, as it is 🌿.

This is something I see come up again and again…

women who genuinely want things to change
who are trying
who care

but keep finding themselves back in the same patterns

Not because they’re not capable

but because they’re doing it alone
in the same environment
with the same pressures around them

And willpower only carries you so far

At some point, something needs to hold you steady
while things begin to shift

That’s usually where real change starts 🌿

There’s a particular kind of frustration that comes from knowing exactly what would help you…

and still not doing it

Not because you don’t care
Not because you’re lazy

But because something keeps pulling you back
into the same patterns

I wrote about this in my newsletter yesterday… and someone reached out to say:

“I needed this. I’d really like some support.”

That’s the thing.

Sometimes it’s not more information we need
it’s support to actually stay with what we already know

If this feels like you…

you’re welcome to reach out
or book a Reconnection Session through the link in my bio 🌿

There’s a particular kind of frustration that comes from knowing exactly what would help you… and still not doing it.

I’m writing about this in today’s Calm Connection newsletter.
