Meet Landi Lotz, the Vision Therapist at Vision in Balance Optometry.
Vision is about so much more than what we see, it relies on the brain, eyes and body working together. When a child struggles with reading, tires easily during school work, fidgets frequently or experiences eye strain, there may be more contributing to the picture than vision alone. Postural control, sensory processing, motor coordination and retained primitive reflex patterns may all influence how comfortably and efficiently a child uses their visual system.
With a background in Occupational Therapy and further training in Sensory Integration, Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi) and Vision Therapy, Landi brings a whole-body perspective to the therapy process. She considers how vision works together with movement, balance, posture and sensory processing, and incorporates these areas into therapy where appropriate.
The goal is to help children use their visual system more efficiently and comfortably, so that tasks such as reading, learning and classroom work require less effort.
It is a privilege to have Landi’s warm, comprehensive care supporting the children and families in our community.
